Trump to Nominate Religious Fanatic to Supreme Court

Amy Coney Barrett belongs to an extremist religious group People of Praise which inspired the dystopian TV series "The Handmaid Tales" about fertile women enslaved and ritually raped as Bible passages are read in order to breed babies for the elite.

Oh, dear God. Can it get worse than this ?

reply

You really should buy this bridge I have in California.

reply

Yep, troll.

I meant OP, not you!

reply

That's funny. 😒 I don't think she's extreme enough! I'm hearing she is the pick but I'm not sure she should be. Originally I thought she would be the best pick but I'm not so sure anymore.
There's a few men I'd rather see chosen before her.

I didn't watch the video you posted. It's been discussed all week and it's utter nonsense to compare People Of Praise to the Handmaid's Tale. Even the woman who wrote it says it's not true. Nice try though.
It's the Democrats who would turn to such evils like that and run a country like "Gilead." Just look at the lockdowns and mask wearing. What's next, forced vaccines?

reply

Are you really anti-vaccine and anti-mask? Do you just not believe in preventing infection and death at all? The mask is a temporary, external solution that can reduce infections by 90% or more. I'd say it's a minor inconvenience with a huge benefit.

reply

I'm anti force.

As the liberals like to say "my body, my choice!"

reply

Oh, but you are comparing apples to tire wheels here. Do you not understand how crazy this virus is? My friend had a slight cough: her husband remains in hospital 3 weeks later. They hosted a lovely party for fam & friends: at least 9 ppl have tested positive.

reply

How so?

Did you know the tests are problematic? Fruit has tested positive. Tests dipped in saline have tested positive. People who never actually had the test tested positive!

reply

There is no medical downside in wearing a mask for 20-40 minutes at a store, and it is the right of the business owner to institute a dress code and to maintain their employees' safety. You don't like it? Shop online. We can't go around topless or smoke cigarettes or drink an open whiskey while in a store. Why should you be allowed to spread a deadly virus in an enclosed, crowded space?

reply

Wearing those masks certainly can cause problems.

You do not quarantine the healthy, nor should the healthy wear masks. We have an immune system. Living in a bubble suppresses it.

reply

We do not know if we are healthy or infectious. It's called asymptomatic transmission. Look up Typhoid Mary. No one has immunity unless they've survived the virus, but even then, viruses can mutate and evolve. Wearing a mask doesn't weaken your immune system either. And I would not want to catch the virus just to test it out. It's down to a vaccine or wearing a mask.

reply

“It's down to a vaccine or wearing a mask.”

Says you! đŸ˜”

You can catch all kinds of things that can make you sick or even kill you. We don’t live in a bubble because of those things. Granted, in the beginning we didn’t know much about Covid. Precautions were taken. Fine. Now we do know much more but the news media doesn’t allow differing opinions of the many doctors who have been coming forward who are in disagreement with Fauci, Birx, etc. They’re being silenced. Information is being suppressed.

By exposing yourself to germs like we did before Covid, we build up our immune system. By masking up and staying away from others, etc., we are weakening our immune system. I didn’t mean the mask wearing alone was weakening our immune system. When all of this is lifted, people are going to start coming down sick.

The survival rate of COVID-19 is 97%! If a person falls under the vulnerable categories that can cause a problem, by all means, wear a mask and stay away from others as much as possible. Why should the majority of people have to continue to live like this?

Wearing a mask causes your oxygen level to drop by 20%! You’re also breathing in additional carbon dioxide. These things can cause you to feel tired or nauseous. If you have something like lung disease or heart problems, wearing a mask could put you at even more risk than just tiredness or nausea.

No one wants to catch the virus to “test it out.”

Wearing a mask should be optional. So should the vaccine.

reply

No it doesn't. Each mask is designed to be worn by surgeons and nurses for hours at time. If it did deprive people of oxygen, doctors wouldn't be able to do complicated surgeries. They would be passing out during crucial tasks.

I'm just going link this video and ask you to watch it completely. This can explain it all.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npXP5wqNzaI&ab_channel=It%27sOkayToBeSmart

Nine million or more Americans shouldn't have to die because people don't want be slightly inconvenienced. Otherwise healthy people ARE being hospitalized for this virus. Everyone is vulnerable to a new disease.

reply

There are many types of masks people wear, giving somewhat protection to little to no protection. A couple months ago they said wearing the bandana type was worse than not wearing one at all.
Some masks come with warnings that they do not prevent any disease. They also said we should change our masks every 20-30 minutes. I don't ever see anyone doing that.

Doctors and nurses wear masks in a sterile, controlled setting. If they work so well, why are doctors and nurses supposedly dying of COVID?

I watched the video and I heard all of that before. I can show you videos that reflect what I'm saying just as easily. We can play that game all day.

I have family who work in the medical field. I trust their opinion much more and they say the masks aren't going to do anything and they definitely can make your oxygen go down, causing the things I mentioned above.
We will have to just agree to disagree.
Like I said, I don't have a problem with people who choose to and want to wear them. I just don't appreciate being told I have to wear them! It's so much more than a "slight inconvenience." It's taking away our freedoms. Give them an inch, they'll take it a mile.

reply

What do you know?! 30 minutes is all the time you need to shop and get out of the store. Problem solved. Also, the store can refuse to serve you based on your behavior, and complaining about a safety measure is bad behavior. That's the business owner's legal right.

My family works in hospitals too. We were wearing masks and shields before the lockdown and have avoided crowds and reunions since. My mother and sister have asthma and have no trouble breathing. Medical grade masks have a 90-99% effectiveness. That's better than nothing. Sure, they're hot, but I'd feel too hot now than be cold in the ground. It's not perfect, but it does improve things. No responsible medical professional would advise against them.

reply

Fauci did. Then he didn't. Then he insisted we wear them. 🙄

I can spend hours in stores! Especially big stores. I was in Sam's Club for 2 hours last time I went. I prefer going out once every 3-4 weeks instead of weekly.

Nobody has refused me yet although some places are more strict than others. I was at a retail store over the weekend and the workers there were split, meaning some wore masks some didn't. I chose not to.

We're obviously not going to agree.

reply

Wearing a mask for 2 hours is not going to suffocate you. Doctors, nurses and med techs wear them all day and work on saving people. Care about your neighbors, wear a mask!

reply

I watched the video and I heard all of that before. I can show you videos that reflect what I'm saying just as easily. We can play that game all day.

What videos you can find means absolutely nothing. What also means nothing is what members of your family supposedly believe.

What truly matters is the overwhelming consensus of the scientific community, which has concluded that wearing a mask protects others and also the wearer.

And yes, requiring you to wear a mask is a very minor inconvenience. So grow up, be a responsible adult, and wear a mask.

reply

You mean only the "science" we are allowed to hear!!

The other side is SILENCED! Don't you understand that? There are many doctors and nurses who've come forward in confusion as to what the hell is going on! If they post videos, they're taken down.

They have an agenda.

Think for yourself. 🐑

Wake up.

reply

Stop calling people sheep. You are projecting your own subconscious identity. There is no other side. Masks work.

reply

You're a fool if you think everyone in the medical field are in agreement about this.

Like I said, we will just have to disagree. I have no issue with people wearing masks if they chose to. Even Fauci (who I do not trust) says it just makes people feel better. He said that in the early days when he was being more honest and before this all became political.

reply

Trump made it political because he wanted to deny the problem with fake machismo.

reply

The number of crackpot medical professionals that have come forward is utterly meaningless, just as the number of scientists that have come forward rejecting evolution by natural selection is meaningless when compared to the majority consensus.

Be responsible, grow up, and wear a mask. You aren't giving up anything.

reply

You sound like a crackpot. Move on.

reply

Well put and hold steady.

"I don't think she's extreme enough."

A judge is supposed to be impartial and fair. I'm assuming you never had a civics class.

I've read the book, watch the show and read the author's interviews. The author was inspired by many sources, but it's very obvious that one of them is Barrett's fanatical group, People of Praise.

"Praise Be!"

reply

Was Ruth Hater Ginsburg impartial?
That would be a big fat NO.

I would like to see someone take her seat who is just as conservative as she was liberal.

reply

"I don't think she's extreme enough."

You used the term extreme, therefore you want an extremist.

RBG supported human rights. You have an issue with that?

reply

She was extreme.

Yes I want an equally exteme right Justice as she was a left Justice.

reply

Immediate executions in the street against peaceful protesters? That's where I see you trending.

reply

Um, no. 🙄

Yes. I'm not a fan of choosing someone for their identity.
Trump did say he was saving Amy for Ginsburg's seat, and that's fine but he reminded me of how the left plays identity politics all the time.
He almost picked her instead of Kavanaugh last time.

It's kinda funny though, watching them go insane over her religion. 😅

reply

SO....WE JUST MAKE SHIT UP TO POST NOW?

reply

THATS HOW ITS DONE NOW IN TRUMPLAND!
GET USED TO IT!

reply

She is a religious fanatic.

reply

SAYS YOU...IN YOUR OPINION.🙂

reply

"MAKE SHIT UP" and "OPINION" are two different things.

Praise Be!

reply

NOT IF YOUR OPINION IS BASED ON THE SHIT YOU MADE UP.

reply

I tend to agree with you here. Barrett appears to support the Roe v Wade precedent. If she isn't even willing to put abortion rights in the hands of states, it's not fair to call her a religious fanatic.

Barrett is just another conservative fraud playing the game of scooping up religious donors and then doing nothing for them.

reply

Republicans have shown they don't care about human life. They asked older Americans to sacrifice themselves for the economy. They tore children out of their mothers arms and put them in cages. Trump incites violence and supported the killing of peaceful demonstrators and attacking a journalist. And Trump has shown he doesnt care about people dying from covid, "It is what it is."

They're not pro-life!

Pro-life includes the living, not only the unborn.

EVANGELIUM VITAE written by Pope John Paul II:

"Whatever is opposed to life itself, such as any type of murder, genocide, abortion, euthanasia, or wilful self-destruction, whatever violates the integrity of the human person, such as mutilation, torments inflicted on body or mind, attempts to coerce the will itself; whatever insults human dignity, such as subhuman living conditions, arbitrary imprisonment, deportation, slavery, prostitution, the selling of women and children; as well as disgraceful working conditions, where people are treated as mere instruments of gain rather than as free and responsible persons; all these things and others like them are infamies indeed. They poison human society, and they do more harm to those who practise them than to those who suffer from the injury. Moreover, they are a supreme dishonour to the Creator."

and

"And how can we fail to consider the violence against life done to millions of human beings, especially children, who are forced into poverty, malnutrition and hunger because of an unjust distribution of resources between peoples and between social classes? And what of the violence inherent not only in wars as such but in the scandalous arms trade, which spawns the many armed conflicts which stain our world which stain our world with blood? What of the spreading of death caused by reckless tampering with the world's ecological balance, by the criminal spread of drugs, or by the promotion of certain kinds of sexual activity which, besides being morally unacceptabl

reply

What a sad life you live with your tin foil hat on.

reply

LOL

reply

Sad you consider human rights a bad thing. You just admitted you don't care about human life.

reply

Huh? Take off the tin foil hat. Your head must be getting warm

reply

No conservative makes sense to me. Not a single one. That's why the dems shouldn't be catering to them over progressives.

reply

You just admitted that progressives won't vote. Marching in the street isn't enough. Nor is tweeting. At least conservatives vote.

reply

Conservative voter: Will you fight to overturn Roe v Wade?
Republican Establishment: Why yes we will good sir. Vote for us and we will end abortion once and for all.

Progressive voter: Will you fight for medicare for all?
Democratic Establishment: Hell no. That's a losing strategy. They'll call us socialist if we do that. What we should focus on instead is getting Mitt Romney and John Kasich on our side.

Progressives are considering staying home. They are not threatening to vote for Trump like this establishment knucklehead did before he was reminded that he was on TV:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3B6R8bniFcQ&t=106

R establishment: Fights for more conservative judges, and criticizes the left.
D establishment: Allows for more conservative judges, and criticizes the left.

And you wonder why progressives stay home. Lol.

I couldn't agree more. And let us not forget, the 'pro-lifers' also believe in the death penalty...because not all lives matter.

A few years ago, a blind student matriculated as a first-year law student at Notre Dame. Upon arrival, she encountered delays in getting the technological support she needed to carry out her studies. After only a few days in Barrett’s class, the student asked her for advice. Barrett’s response was “This is no longer your problem. It is my problem.” Barrett followed up with university administration herself, got the student what she needed, and then mentored her for three years. That student just completed her service as the first blind female Supreme Court clerk in U.S. history.

reply

She's the same religion as Biden. Maybe he should drop out then, right?

reply

They're not the same religion. Her sect has nothing to do with Roman Catholic teachings.

reply

I thought she was and that People of Praise was a separate thing she was involved in.
I'll take your word for it. For now.

reply

Funny considering Biden is of the same religion (FYI I’m atheist all Christians are religious fanatics to me)

reply

Not really. Biden is Roman Catholic. Barrett belongs to a fringe group called People of Praise and not all members are of Catholic origin.

She reminds me of Mel Gibson who literally didn't believe the Pope was Catholic enough so he founded his own Catholic Church. Meanwhile, Mel was cheating on his wife, having sex outside of marriage, beating up his girlfriend, having a child outside of marriage, and is full of anger and hate.

reply

Both believe in an imaginary sky Daddy they are both deluded. Just about every politician believes in these crazy fairy tales so you just gotta accept that these are the people you elect . The country is not turning primarily atheist any time soon get over it

reply

Blame Pelosi. She's the one who can stop it, but she wants friendship with your conservative Never-Trump pals instead.

Progressives are calling for impeachment hearings on Barr's corruption, on Trump's multiple violations of the emoluments clause, on Trump's deals with the Saudis, on Trump's illegal NDA (which Cohen was proven guilty of), more than enough to keep the Senate occupied until after the election. Hell, even the stuff in the Mueller report would be enough to stop the pick.

But your beloved establishment wants Trump's pick to go through.

reply

Are you going to vote for Biden?

reply

Yes but I know many progressives that hate Trump but don't care enough about Biden to be bothered. It's a problem.

reply

I'm not sure why progressives support Trump. I know a large percentage voted for him in 2016. It sounds like they don't care about rights for women, minorities, or LGBTQ. They want Trump's militia to shoot peaceful protestors or have them arrested for a felony like Barr wants. All advances since the 1950s will be lost. 20 million will lose their health insurance. Privatized post office, jailed journalists and no more elections. All talk, I guess.

reply

"I'm not sure why progressives support Trump."

They don't.

I'm not sure why you don't understand what support is. Support requires you to vote. Staying home is the opposite of support.

reply

RGB, a religious fanatic, just died. You didn't mention her in this vain??? Why not??

Are you a lowlife partisan?

reply

Did you just call Judaism a fanatical religion? That's anti-Semitic.

reply

So at what point do these imaginary fairy tales become "fanatical"? Neither are based in any sort of reality, Biden's own religion says I am going to burn in hell for eternity when I die, yet you cherry pick which you consider "fanatical" based on the person's politics, you are a dishonest scumbag.

reply

Fanatical is pushing your religious beliefs down everyone else's throats like Barrett plans to do.

reply

Fanatical is joining a system that condemns anyone who isn’t like you to eternal torture like the majority of the Democrats subscribe to. And lol thanks for the laugh, the Democrats main strategy is to force their beliefs onto others. Barrett directly said her religion doesn’t impact her decisions as a judge, nice try kid. Lol I bet you believe in the imaginary sky daddy just like Biden and attention whore Harris

reply

Too bad she isn’t a Chinese national, eh 50 cent komrade? Too bad you and your 50 cent komrades can’t vote.
