Just finished the third season. Really good.

It borrowed heavily from the Daredevil comic arc "Born Again" by Frank Miller. (For my money, the best DD story arc ever)
If you know that story, you'd know they couldn't faithfully adapt the whole think on Netflix...Matt and Karen would've had to be in different places in their lives at the start of the season and the Avengers would've featured in the final act.
They did use a lot of it though, as well as bits from other comic arcs.
I loved the Bullseye guy.

My favorite line of the season (Fisk talking to Bullseye) "You were taught to cover yourself with many fictions. You fashioned yourself into something society could tolerate"

Bullseye, Fisk, Nadeem all of them, just superb all around.

I loved Bullseye's creepy smile while wearing Daredevils suit just so intense LOL.

Daredevil doesn't cease to amaze.

I binged the whole season in one sitting.

I am doing that right now, binging season 3 in 1 day. I have an episode and a half left and it's almost 4 in the morning. I'm retired though and sleep crazy hours so I'll make it, lol. Can't believe it's done after only 3 seasons.

This season was outstanding. Daredevil has always been leaps and bounds better than the other Marvel/Netflix shows and the fights here outdid season 1 and 2 and the story was compelling that it made it an easy and enjoyable binge watch which I haven't felt about any of these Marvel/Netflix shows since, well, Daredevil season 2.

Can definitely tell they really took their time plotting out the major story beats as it had a really strong narrative through line, was definitely worth the 2 and a half year wait. Wilson Fisk is also the best live action Marvel villain I've ever seen apart from Thanos. It'll probably never happen but Vincent D'Onofrio and Charlie Cox deserve Emmy or Golden Globe nominations for their work in my opinion, their final conversation in the season finale after their fight was fantastic. I honestly can find very little wrong with this season (maybe the Karen flashback was a bit unnecessary) it's the best TV I've seen all year and I think honestly one of the best seasons of anything Netflix have ever produced.

Roll on season 4 and more Bullseye, I do feel they've made it difficult for themselves to outdo this season though by succeeding this hard with it.

The Karen flashback WAS absolutely necessary! They've hinted for two seasons that she has a dark past!

If anything, the backstory was long overdue.

reply

Yeh but did they need so much, could have done the back story in 5 minutes, as always everything stretched out so far and unnecessarily

reply

No, I thought the story got the treatment it deserved.

reply

Why must fans of Daredevil always pick fights with the other shows and raise Daredevil on some pedestal to gravel at its feet. It seems pretty obssesive and fanboyish. They're pretty much of equal quality IF aside.

My favorite season (and I've liked all of them) so far.

Vincent D'Onofrio is once again amazing as Kingpin. I love the way he played the FBI during the season.

Finally, we get a decent Bullseye! Loved his arc, and the fights with Daredevil were awesome.

Just all around an engaging season. Usually, I notice some "Filler" moments in the 13 episodes, but this was very well planned out and it kept my attention the whole time.

Really hoping we get a season 4.

reply

Its cool but kinda disappointed DD never get to defeat Bullseye.

reply

That's why there's season 4.
Bullseye isn't even Bullseye yet. But he will be, OH HE WILL BE.

I found it a little dull. Too much family angst. It's like they took the least interesting parts of JJ season 2 and decided: let's have more of that!
