Runtime seemingly confirmed

For those that don’t like long movies, not good news for you.

163 minutes.

With all the movie has to cover, I think it’ll be justified

reply

I might rent the dvd.

FANTASTIC!... Expect less action and more tedious and boring dialogue scenes like “bond your too old blahblahblah”, “espionage is dead blahblahblah” and “your past has come back to haunt you blahblahblah”.

reply

"The world has changed"
"Stay in your lane"
"It was me, James"
"It was me again, James"
"It was also me that other time, James"
"It is always me, James"

Fantastic.

I expected/hoped this would be the longest Bond film in this series (in the entire franchise), so I have to say that I’m pleased to hear it might possibly be this long. Now providing this is in fact true, then this could be a good thing if the film does justify its lengthy running time. I think it will.... it’s going to be one epic last ride for Craig. As is, the more could be the merrier!

Now I might go see it on the biggest screen. ;) Pftt... might. I’m there opening night! (Broken record detractors be damned.)

They couldn't justify that runtime with Spectre, which had to intro Blofeld. I'm not sure what they're going to use it on here.

I love great movies, not long movies.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy - even extended - isn't a series of "long movies", they're great movies.

Woody Allen rarely crosses the 90 minute mark. Most of his movies accomplish SO MUCH in 90 minutes. A "short movie" is not a bad movie.

So, No Time to Die might be good or bad, but the runtime is a little long for what most Bond movies (or action flicks in general) try to accomplish. It's a bit of a warning sign.

"With all the movie has to cover..."

It doesn't have to cover anything. They could have just made a standalone Bond film as they have always done in the past. If you Craig cucks think that this convoluted 'saga' is going to be properly wrapped up by the end of this mess of a film then you are all fools.

reply

I can only hope that the producers go back to the standalone format after Craig retires, but I doubt. Babs Broccoli is an idiot and will probably want to do another reboot or beg Craig to come back for a sixth movie.

A Bond movie should not be over 2 and a half hours.

reply

These movies are so boring.

I barely remember the plots of names of any of them.

They need to get back to Bond being an exciting science fiction character.

The Mission Impossible films are better Bond movies than Bond movies.

reply

The running time is irrelevant.

A movie can be 90 minutes and feel like 3 hours. I have been bored by many a short movie.

If it's well made, well directed, well scripted, well edited and the pace is good...you dont feel the length. You dont think about it.

reply

I love long movies that are good.

I prefer them.

reply

I might be able to handle it. Especially since I went to see "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" twice on it's opening weekend. And it's about 163 minutes as well.

reply

I enjoy long movies, if it feels earned. Skyfall is 2.5 hours but it seems epic. Spectre I think was longer but less interesting.
