I have read books on Oppenheimer and enjoy the subject matter, and liked the movie.
But for the average movie goer I doubt they will like this movie too much.
I think they will all be shaking their heads coming out saying 'I was tricked, we shoulda went to see Barbie.'
2 reasons: 1st, it was made by Nolan and all the Nolan Bros were going to be in full force for this no matter what.. The man could make a 3 hour movie on paint drying and they'd be stupid enough to show up for it and 2nd, Barbie appealed to a wide range of moviegoers, in particular, the gay community along with young males in their 20's because it simply checked all the boxes for DEI: Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness and any movie going forward that doesn't have these ingredients will be enough for Gen Z to not even give the movie the time or day, plus it has to have a hook and be meme friendly
A lot broader demo than "gays and 20-something males" are going. I haven't seen Barbie yet but I'm guessing it's pretty funny (psst, it's a Comedy!)--people aren't paying full price to sit in a movie theater to have their socio-political viewpoint confirmed--that's Republican behavior (also projecting, as you did here).
Dude, When I went and saw the MEG 2, I stopped in the restroom before the movie and there were 4 young males at the urinals sporting hot pink pants, a white shirt and white shoes for this movie, so just stop.. This movie appealed heavily, HEAVILY to the Gay & Transgender crowd and it's true.. This has to go down as one of the softest generations I've ever witnessed
Gay and transgender comprise 2% of the population (UCLA Williams Institute). But something tells me you see them everywhere cuz your are a very ill-educated hick. Since you told me to f off I will now block you.
