It reaches a level of existentialist philosophical inquiring which Alien can't compete with, let alone Aliens.
Without a doubt the best of them all.

Alien, where the scientists are mostly written as smart people with common sense.

Prometheus, almost every one of these people are idiots.

I'm not sure I'd put it ahead of Alien 3. There are things to admire about it such as the visuals, the cast, the score, the scale of it, but the stupidity and writing for some of those characters just puts me off it.

Oh, GOD no!
Like most movies, it is competently made and all, and does a couple interesting things, but, JEEZ, so much logic and common sense fail. Oooof. BARELY rewatchable.

This movie left no cinematic touchtones or landmarks, so NO.

It sits in the now overpopulated category of movie sequels that were disappointments 😞
