I am hoping that this was better as a book, because it isn't that good as a screenplay. The plot really isn't as smart as it wants you to believe, and the characters who are supposed to be intelligent scientists tend to act like morons. I am currently agreeing. S1: great S2: great again! awesome! S3: um... Please stop it with the Days of Our Lives: Resident Alien season. It was a test. He wanted to see who would eventually break his rule about such a ridiculous thing. This makes me think about how "The Godfather (1972)" was created, as told in the series "The Offer (2022)". All the times that Al Ruddy refused to obey Paramount, risking his job and career to protect Mario Puzo's and Francis Ford Coppola's vision, proved to be the absolutely right way to do it. And now we have this committee bullshit. You are correct Dakota; we the audience can absolutely sniff it out. Committee filmmaking must end. After failing a 5-10 minute test, I officially rate it as WTFITS, and WTFAIWI. I gave it about 5-10 minutes, about when they started the anti-male message crap. It was difficult to experience, even knowing that her behavior was just part of the big analogy that this movie was. Groan, eyeroll, fast forward. He floated in his spacesuit to the lights in the center of the cloud, only to find that the lights were coming from a rescue mission that picked him up. This was difficult to see in that scene. It then cuts to him inside the spacecraft, talking to his wife with other astronauts nearby. He expresses regret at leaving her for the mission. But of course, he wouldn't have realized that until he experienced what he did. Mistakes lead to wisdom. >Good acting so far, but wow is the story all over the place. They are trying to obfuscate the simple fact that the two astronauts' lives have been switched with their lives from different realities. If they would stop beating around the bush by heavily padding the runtime with boring soap opera crap, it could be a good sci-fi horror or thriller. Eye-roll, facepalm, and ultimately snore, so far, unfortunately. I agree with your assessment of Steve's performance. He has the appearance of potential evil down perfectly. I think it is the best part of this show so far, to see how seriously he takes his character. Congratulations to you Mr. Moyer. A baddass that you do not betray without death as a consequence. PS: the support is great, but make it less wordy to not appear simulated. View all replies >
