Why is everybody impressed by the SMART ZOMBIES???

Everybody is like: Uhhh smart zombies this is so creative woooowwww!!!
George Romero directed a movie with also smart zombies in his film from 2005 LAND OF THE DEAD

I actually had the same idea a long time ago, I envisioned a movie where zombies can attack with tanks, airplanes, they jump from sky with parachutes, they know kung-fu, etc.

..also Day of the Dead, 1985

Once you make zombies fast and smart then they aren't really different from regular criminals. May as well be an army of thugs controlling Vegas.

Return of the living dead did it in 1985. They were smart, organized, they could run, they could drive, they spoke, and used the radio to 'send more police'

And killing them in the head never worked, but it did in the movies, favorite zombie film ever,.

Same.

Romero actually had the absolute first zombie in his zombiemovies use a tool - a rock to try to smash a car window - so they were "smart" from the beginning.

Yup. And the little girl at the end killed her mother with a garden spade.

Super zombies sucks. If they are super smart, fast, strong etc, they barely fit into the zombie category and you might aswell call it something else...the only checkbox that is ticked is "undead".

everything's been done in the zombie genre.

There's a book series called Ex-Heroes about a small group of super heroes keeping the last settlement of humans on earth alive in a zombie apocalypse. The zombies from that series definitely haven't been done yet.

Given how big super heroes and zombies are, I'm actually kind of amazed it never got optioned into a series!
