Anyone else hope Daenerys wins in the end?

She justifiably roasted all those peasants who gleefully cheered at Ned Stark's death. Everyone around her betrayed her or let her down, I would have snapped as well. Her heart is in the right place, I want her on the iron throne.

Queen of the ashes

reply

Littlefinger would have loved that.

reply

Don't hold your breath.

reply

Hell no. Can't wait to see Jon get up close and personal and gut that psychotic bitch.

reply

I want Jon's first act as King to be personally executing Daenerys with his own sword, Longclaw like Ned executed that guy in episode 1.

reply

It would end with a mad person on the throne similar to the situation just before King Robert. I don't mind, but I want it to be Robert "Make them fly!" Arynn who's been under everyone's radar. I'd like to see a sequel TV series with the people dealing with the little maniac.

If they're gong to go the happy ending route, then I'm cheering for Jon.

reply

Just because some peasants cheered when Ned Stark got his head removed from his body does not mean everyone in that city deserved death. Deanerys will never see that throne after what she did, very likely will be killed by Arya and we will see Jon on the thrown.

reply

You say that like this is some happy by the numbers show where everything works out in the end. She very well could end up sitting on that throne in the end(a metaphorical throne since she destroyed the real one). She has the only army left, a big ass dragon, and zero problem with using either one to kill. I'd say it's even odds between her and Jon in the end.

reply

And the Night King had a unlimited supply of dead for his army and had the upperhand, no one could kill him, and no one did, Arya did.

She herself said she had no love in this part of the world, everyone loves Jon, if she kills him, she will be the next Cersei, hated by everyone.

reply

From a purely strategic standpoint, the common people(and even the few remaining noble families) hating her doesn't mean a damn thing. She has the last standing army and both the Unsullied and Dothraki follow her alone. Killing Jon wouldn't change that.

Even without the dragon, nobody could stand up against her at this point. They'd all bend the knee in a second before being roasted alive.

Now obviously it won't be that straight forward since story telling and plot armor will come into play, but her winning would be a very GOT way to end things.

reply

I wouldn’t really mind. I had no issue with her torching everyone.

reply

No, definitely not now.
But who's to say it won't happen?

reply

Nope don’t want that at all.
