Alexandra Daddario should have been Diana

For so many reasons.

Makes Gadot look like a 10 year old boy.

or any actress with meat on her bones, unlike Gal

Exactly. Anything beats this:

Well, she's got the figure for it, but Daddario's big round eyes always make her look startled and vulnerable, or afraid.

Gadot may not have the figure for the role, but she could project the complete self-confidence and fearlessness that Wonder Woman ought to have.

reply

How do you project self confidence with that monotonous, dull drone of hers?

Daddario has played bad asses in several roles: https://bit.ly/3LEtEYa

She also played the warrior daughter of a Greek goddess in two action films: https://bit.ly/3dAXMao

That was long before anyone ever heard of Gadot, who, BTW was about to quit acting because no one wanted to hire her. To this day, the biggest complaint about her, besides her lack of physique, is her total lack of talent.

reply

Well you wouldn't have noticed Gadot's fearlessness and self-confidence if you were staring at her chest the whole time, would you!

And I saw Daddario in at least one of the "Percy Jackson" films, and she looked vulnerable and startled. Not the sort of personality I want in a good Wonder Woman.

reply

Exactly, Otter. Godot SOLD the roll. When she showed up in Batman v. Superman, she pushed the 2 male heroes right off the screen. I recall that Superman said something boasting, like “I’ve killed monsters from other planets.” Godot very matter-of-factly replied, “So have I.” Wonder Woman 1, Supes zilch.

What is inside a person matters a
hell of a lot more than the package containing it. The immature, superficial viewer will focus on the external; so, by the way, Alexandra Daddario has a very flat ass.

In martial art we learn there are 3 types of opponent: strong, aggressive and intelligent. The first 2 are relatively easy to defeat, by using their qualities against them. The intelligent opponent—who may not be much at whom to look—is far and away the most dangerous adversary. I admire the hell out of Godot for showing us true strength.

The mewlers here just want whack-off fodder. Imagine that!

reply

Agreed, Gadot nailed it, she didn't just project the supreme self-confidence of a superhero among humans, she also had a bit of the old soul about her, the calm center of the person who's gotten over their personal insecurity centuries ago. Which is more proof that an actor doesn't have to be a great talent to nail a superhero role, they just have to get certain things absolutely right, like Chris Hemsworth as Thor or Chris Reeve as Superman. Sometimes a terrific actor like Michael Keator or Downey Jr. plays a superhero and is fantastic either is a great actor, and it really is odd how Hemsworth and Reeve were also fantastic, even if they aren't or weren't top thespians in general.

These twerps are missing so much, looking at only the aspects of the character than can be used for beating off!

reply

Nah, Daddario would be better as Zatanna.

reply

She’d be a terrific Zatanna but deserved to be WW. Gadot doesn’t deserve any role.

reply

I like Gadot in the part but if not her, Lynn Collins would had been good.

reply

you think comic book nerds would know wonder woman is literally the strongest woman alive, and not some bimbo with ginormous tits. she's more than just a sex symbol. tits are the only thing daddario has going for her.

reply

Lol, she has the same eyes as Rena Sofer in 24 Season 6. Startled & surprised eyes don't work for Wonder Woman.

reply

She would’ve made more sense as Lois Lane. In fact, she’s actually voiced Lois Lane.
