She's supposed to be a disabled female who mentors a straight white dude, why change that? Ep 4: Turns out Kang wasn’t the true threat… How do you pronounce his first name? Whatever happened to Sarahs' summercamp friend, Aubrey? Barry technically should’ve recognized Bruce at the end, why didn’t he? "Unusual voting activity" for Little Mermaid but not this? How did a light-skinned Dom and Elsa produce a black-ish boy? Jeez, still no release date for Blu-ray? What's up with the lack of diversity among the villains? View all posts >

Dude, don’t speak on behalf of us minorities. Your white-knighting only makes yourself look worse. The system is rigged in our favor, even though all we wanted was to be treated like equals. Swinging the pendulum the other way has only prolonged issues. If by some chance you yourself are a minority, then any problems you might be experiencing are likely self-inflicted. If it ain’t black (or female), take it back? You asked for one, I generously gave you two. The first two are free, the rest you gotta look up yourself. As for details, if you really don’t know what’s been going on in western entertainment, then you’ve been living under a rock. Star Wars and Indiana Jones are the two most prominent examples of misandry. No one has a problem with female leads, we grew up with them after all. There’s a right way and a wrong way to do it, the former being Buffy Summers and Xena (among others), and the latter being Rey Palpatine and Captain Marvel. How many of those shows did you watch? Since you admitted that you don’t actually watch all the shows you name-dump, it certainly explains a lot. Star Trek STD is universally bad. My condolences if you sat through Cleopatra and Andromeda. Back then we had Doctor Who, TNG and Deep Space 9, X-Files, and Stargate, among other shows. Sci-fi, fantasy, action, horror, romance, comedy. Like I said, various genres. A lot of western shows have been infected. It’s good that there’s a sizable selection that’s not, and while I wish them all the best, as I said before, not all of them appeal to me. I’ve seen quite a few of the shows you name-dumped, as for those I didn’t watch, they simply don’t appeal to me. Even if they’re not woke, I currently have no desire to watch them. Not everything is made for me, and that’s fine. But the shows and movies that do appeal to me, which consists of various genres, have gone woke, and that’s why me, and many others, are calling Hollywood out before it spreads any further than it already has. Still listing The Last of Us, dude? And last time you dumped your list on me, you included Watchmen too, both of which make me question your awareness of the situation. But you’ve got some good ones in there, so at least your taste isn’t totally shot. Unless things have improved and writers rediscovered common sense, I doubt I’ve missed much with modern western tv.
