David Fincher: ‘I’m Not Responsible’ for ‘Fight Club’ Being a Hit With Incels and the Far Right'

He need only to have said 'I cant talk about that'

reply

Fincher is right. It's not his fault that society views the Male population as second class citizens that caused some people to look up to Tyler Durden.

reply

oh you poor poor victimised marginalised man
when did it all go wrong ?

when those wimmin got the vote?
when ghostbusters 2016 came out ?
when date rape stopped being acceptable?

Fincher only adapted a book into a movie. He didn't cause the ills of society we now have today.

reply

LMAO!!!

reply

I knew there was a reason I never wanted to watch this movie.

found the snowflake!

reply

Imagine being called dangerous for simply existing.

reply

I assume Brent has never been called dangerous in his life. He has no idea what's going on.

reply

People are stupid. If a movie has that much influence over them, then they're an idiot.

reply

Especially when the movie was nothing more than dream in Edward Norton's head

reply

Spoilers! Just kidding, I've seen it many times.

reply

Does this movie have sweaty, shirtless men going at it? If so, it's bound to big a big hit among the closeted homosexuals on the far right.

reply

And the author of the book just happens to be a gay man! So I'm correct!

Given the assertion that "‘Fight Club’ Being a Hit With Incels and the Far Right'"

There doesent seem to be any of the ugly threads from the usual moviechat suspects on the page .

reply

Somehow I feel like blowing up all credit card info buildings to erase peoples' debt is more a left thing than a far right thing. I don't see republicans doing that. That's not even a democrat thing. That's a socialist thing that Bernie Sanders fans would want.

reply

yeah exactly only poor retards that can't manage money to save their life have credit card debt

reply

This is just far left Guardian being WUMs as usual, Fincher himself never said the full implication in the title.

reply

>“Ok, fine,” Fincher replied when the Guardian writer said “Fight Club” has become a touchstone for the far right.

It's nice that Fincher didn't take the bait.

He should have asked for sources, and evidence for that statement. Who, where, when?

The Guardian writer says "oh, trust me bro", then whispers..."c'mon man, vibe with me, we're desperate for clicks, the print has gone down the toilet since nobody buys newspapers anymore so we have to make inflammatory shit up and create controversy to get people on our site which generates money from advertisers. Just like what the old UK rags used to do to get people picking up newspapers, and The Guardian used to pretend they were above that as a higher tier "journalistic" newspaper. Except, the internet changed everything, and we have to resort to the same tactics the old UK newspaper rags did when we pretended we were above it"

reply

Great.. If only incels and the folks on the far right knew the whole thing was made up in Norton's head??
