Is THIS the worst movie of all time?

It MIGHT be Attack of the Clones but I'm thinking this might be it.

Excluding non genuine efforts (i.e. any of Disney's output) then I think this shades AOTC as the worst Star Wars film.

At least that is pretty funny. This is just pretty poor. And why won't they update the CGI on the Windows 98 battlefield? Looks awful now. They ham fist in extra Banthas and whatever other nonsense in the SEs, yet they won't fix actual duff CGI which could easily be corrected...

Have you not seen the disney star wars movies?

reply

Not in the universe where Batman and Robin was filmed.

reply

No the worst film of the prequels was Revenge of the Sith, for me it is the worst of the nine Star Wars films. Attack of the Clones was at least entertaining some of the time but RoTS was so determined to be epic all of the time that when it reached epicness overload it became a chore to sit through.

reply

My friend forced me to go see ROTS and yep, he caught me sleeping during the middle of this movie!

reply

Not even close, now that we have the Disney films it’s not even one of the worst Star Wars films

reply

You haven't seen enough movies

reply

Not even close. This movie is ok. Not great, but also not terrible.

reply

No, but one of the biggest disappointments.

reply

A good way of putting it. This movie might not have been the worst, but its fall was from the heights of its potential, not just how low it went.

reply

I actually think that with some tighter editing and a lot less of the political stuff, there’s a good film in there. Having grown up with the OT, I was so looking forward to this.

reply

Didn't Topher Grace do some prequel edits? Or did he mash up II and III into one better film?

reply

I’ve heard about this, but not seen it. Personally, I thought III was pretty good and just gets tarred with the same brush as the first two.

reply

I didn't really like III either. I think it was probably better than I or II, but I still don't think it was really good. Unfortunately, with a character study, focused on the rise and fall of a hero-turned-villain, the payoff has little impact without a great setup. III was paying off plotlines that were shoddily-founded, and doing so with dialogue and motivations just as underwritten as the other prequels. For me, anyways, I didn't like it and found the whole prequel trilogy to be underwhelming.

I get that some people dig one or more of them and that's cool; that's different taste. Boring ol' world if we were all just Xeroxes of one another. But for me, the whole thing was an exercise in falling short.
