Do you wish you were back at highschool? Or glad that it is over?

I just watched The Breakfast Club, and it obviously reminded me a lot of highschool (with its "highschool hierarchy", bullies, teachers with no sense of humor etc.) which was in the 1990s for me. It gave me the feeling that I am glad that I don't have to go to highschool anymore.

Did you also get this feeling from watching The Breakfast Club? Or did you get the opposite feeling, that you would love to go back in time to the years of highschool?

reply

Oh hell no, I'm glad it's over.

It felt difficult enough at the time, but now, looking back I hate those years even more, if that's possible!

I now see those years as very dark for me.

If I could relive it making completely DIFFERENT decisions and knowing what I know now, and what to avoid, and how to deal with things, then okay maybe. But I'd have to time-travel back in full and clear knowledge of what I know now; I would rather die than re-live it exactly like it was. I'd change practically everything.

High School for me was no different than college. People came in, went to class, and left. Living in a big city (NYC) is likely the reason people were more dispersed. I barely met anyone from high school, and today, I don’t keep track with anyone I met during that time.

Middle School fit the typical description of high school for me. That time, there was the heirarchy, the bullies, the friendships, and the gossip, etc. I would live it again.

I'm glad that it's over. But I'm also glad that it happened.

Al Bundy and Ferris Beuller want to go back to high school. A successful, self-actualizing adult does not. High school was like being trapped inside an internet message board.

I would go back and do it all again! YEAH!

Not really, I mean Highschool itself was kind of fun but my life back then was a mess (at home)

It was a complete waste of time for me. And, it didn't have 1/10th the "drama" that all these movies make it seem. It was just taking the same classes over and over again.

College was little different. You're just trying to get your random piece of paper and move on.

reply

NO.

I would love to be back in college though.

Good Times.

On the other hand I would have even less caution while doing dangerous activities which is BAD. I may not live through it again. It sure would be fun to try it.
