Way better than Man of Steel.

Loved this movie as a kid. Hated Man of Steel. I wish superhero movies would learn a lesson from he older movies. Now it is all about special effects and making the movie look like a video game.

Superman II compared to MoS is like The Wrath of Khan compared with Trek Into Darkness (coincidently both MoS and STID were out the same summer, both remakes of the classic 2nd movie and featuring the most effective villain)

Man of Steel was boring and had no soul , Superman 2 was the opposite, agreed.

reply

Yup.

reply

Man of Steel was f*****g shite!

And to think the snydercut community think MOS and BvS are masterpieces , incredible and laughable, especially bvs, Iā€™m yet to make it to the end of that movie, utter garbage.

reply

You said it!

The Snyder Cult are dumb, shallow, edgelords who think movies should look like XBox games.

I like both honestly but I really don't get some of the people complaining about Zod's death in Man of Steel and yet being okay with Superman crushing Zod's hand and throwing him off a cliff to his death. And no. Don't mention that deleted scene where he survives cause it is not part of the original movie. In the original movie it is shown that Superman murdered Zod by throwing him off a cliff to his death while smiling. I really don't get you Man of Steel haters who complain about that. You're all a bunch of mentally ill people who literally go out of their way to say Superman didn't kill Zod in Superman 2 when what we're shown on screen is him doing that.

reply

My problem isnt that he kills Zod. Its that after the death of thousands, in not millions in metropolis. Im suppose to believe that he cares about 3 people who can get out of a way of a lazerbeam.

reply

Zod and his lackeys were the ones responsible for those deaths. Not Superman.

reply

Good point. Superman was pretty vengeful.

I'm not a fan of Superman II the theatrical version but I do like the Donner cut a lot. I prefer both to Man of Steel. And it was like watching a video game.

reply

Agreed.

I remember going to the cinema twice to see Man of Steel.

I fell asleep.

True, I'd had a can of strong booze during the movie, but that's no excuse.

I saw it a second time and still nodded off at the action.

Superman II is SHAKESPEARE compared to MoS.
