Needs Colorized like King Kong was colorized

keeps the old look but Color done right adds to the movie magic

reply

I agree. Would look way better in color...

reply

..and then Young Frankenstein wouldn't be a homage/parody of the actual movies it is honoring.

What's up Galactus03!!

reply

Heyyyyy Norrin. How is the surfboard?

As for Young Frankenstein....yeah I know....but it would be neat to see it in color.

reply

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, something tells me you're not THE original Galactus and may just be the 3rd colorized or maybe just the 3D version of the original "Big G-Man"?.

Nonetheless my Surf-Board is fine. Funny thing is I never named my board and it's almost sentient. If I ever get a chance to join the MCU I plan on correcting that ASAP.

Might even start a contest on earth: Name the Surfer's board.

reply

How am I supposed to know you are the real surfer??? At least I do what humans do and put my "birth year" after my name. Ok I fudged a bit and put the 3rd year of the universe. I was gonna put Galactus:big bang but for obvious reasons I refrained. I do have a current pic though you can look at if you click my profile.

reply

I am being inconsistent and have ruined my own alias. I never said I was the Surfer any longer.

See, this is why Secret Identities are worthless. Especially on Earth.

As far as you being the "Big G-Man"? Given your desire to want to colorize Young Frank-N-Stein or Stien I'd say your track record on decision making is pretty spot on.

You are who you say you are. Cheers!

reply

Hell No!

reply

No!
It was B&W as an homage to the genre!

What’s next, add vocal dialogue to Silent Movie?!?!?!?

reply

Give it the full Metropolis treatment -- get current pop bands to record new soundtrack songs for it and digitally-insert Miley Cyrus in an entirely new role written by any one of the worthless hacks currently producing situation comedies on television. NOW you have a movie...

reply

but Young Frankenstein is so good it's is just a Frankenstein Movie.

reply

I say no again and I don't care if they did colorize it anyway.

I already own my own personal copy and would never even bother to watch a colorized version.

reply

well colorized isn't for you it's for people who just see it as a boring old black and white movie not knowing it's greatness

reply

I say no again and I don't care if they did colorize it anyway.

You'll never get ulcers with that kind of thought!!

With regards to YF, this movie was intentionally shot in B&W so this isn't one of the ones I would be interested in seeing colorized. Most B&W movies were shot that way because of budget constraints. Still, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be intrigued by a colorized version (or a scene or two).

My Bluray copy is also B&W, and I would never replace it with a color version.

Yesterday morning, I was watching a bit of Meet You In St. Louis and was thinking that this could have been shot in B&W and might have been if Garland wasn't the star. If it was, I could see a lot of folks screaming if it was colorized now. But I can see that movie working either way.

reply

You need colorized.

reply

Then they can redo all the special effects scenes with CGI. lol

reply

CGI never but Color yes a Good Colorized Movie doesn't hurt a good movie but it will help a movie find a wider audience and give people who've seen it like 40-50 times something new to see and a good colorized Young Frankenstein would be adding and make it feel like a Hammer Horror Parody

reply

It doesn't need a wider audience, especially not one of dumbasses who want it colorized. It did well in its theatrical release half a century ago, and it's still popular today. It already has a wide audience. It is not a Hammer Horror parody, it's a parody of 1930s Universal horror movies. Get a clue, or take your crayons and shove 'em.

reply

In the sense that neither needs to be colorized , you are correct.

reply

Well said.

reply

in Weird Science you can see they are watching a colorized version well scenes of Frankenstein what fan of The Original Black and White Version wouldn't watch a full colorized version at least once?

reply

a real fan is the answer to your question

reply

Watching a colorized version would be pointless, not to mention disturbing. As a fan of the original black-and-white version, I wouldn't have the time to waste. I could be watching the original black-and-white version instead.
