Kirk over Picard for sure - TNG and TOS tied for me when I balance out everything.

TOS is far from perfect, but I could never take TNG even remotely seriously with characters like Wesley, Troi, and Riker.

Like them about equally but TOS is just more fun (fist fights, miniskirts) and the very best episodes are better.

Great writing, characters, sci fi, epic.

To be honest, TNG made ST properly.

Agreed.

I lost all respect for TNG, when hte feds wanted to let the whole race die instead of interfer to save them.

Because a dead culture is clearly better than one that has been contaminated by outside influence...
