Marathon

Is anyone here getting ready for the New Year's marathon?

reply

The Trade-Ins - One of my favorite episodes.

reply

I love it too! The old couple is so sweet, reminds me of my grandparents. The card game breaks my heart a moment too.

Elements of I Sing the Body Electric, but better, imho.

reply

They are so sweet! Ugh..5000 bucks saved and still not enough for this body transformation of them both...In the 60s 5 grand was like 40 grand today!! highway robbery.

reply

Luckily there was a gangster with a heart of gold to help him keep it.

reply

That doesn't happen too often!

reply

Definitely a heart felt moment during the card game.

reply

Awwww In the end he chose to grow old and die with his Marie...precious!

reply

"Mr. Vance" the salesman in The Trade-Ins 98 and going strong.

reply

Really? Did he use his own service? Har har.

But seriously, is he oldest TZ alumnus out there?

reply

No.

Marsha Hunt, Spur of the Moment is the oldest I found so far (101).

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0402554/

reply

Good sleuthing!

reply

i wonder if he has had any thoughts of "trading in" his 98yo body.

reply

“Frisby, you’re the biggest liar who ever sat by a stove.” Lol!

reply

The only productive part of his body is his mouth!

Andy Devine amuses me to no end in this.

reply

Hocus Pocus and Frisby - I spotted Floyd The Barber from The Andy Griffith Show

reply

And Doc Baker from Little House on the Prairie!

reply

thats right!

reply

Ah, The Dummy. Ventriloquist dummies never cease to freak people out...

reply

I'm making my dinner right now so I will bbl

reply

I'm leaving for a friend's house soon, but will be back later. Happy New Year's everyone!

reply

Happy New Year!

reply

I hate dummies. Especially when they wink at me.

reply

Currently watching the marathon!!! It's awesome!!!!

reply

Welcome!

reply

‘Room for one more, honey,’

reply

Thanks!!! Happy New Year my friend!!! :)

reply

One of the bad looking videotaped episodes here.

reply

Bad looking????? 22 looked PERFECT Video Taped!
It's more frightening!!!!

reply

Like a live soap opera from the 80’s!!

reply

The Odyssey Of Flight 33...one of my favorites!

reply

Yep. Dino stop motion claymation and smoking in the cockpit!!

reply

Oh man those dinosaurs...I'm sitting here with a person who doesn't like the twilight zone and that was enough for him to get up and leave LMAO

reply

Lol! No CGI back in 1961.

reply

No there wasn't!

reply

It was only 22 years into the past..a hell of a lot better than the dinosaur age....i would have cut my losses and lived life in the world war 2 era!

reply

Let's think happy thoughts, folks.

reply

And bet on the next 22 World Series and become rich! Like Biff with the sports almanac.

reply

OMG I would too g-bone..live the next few decades in luxury

reply

Man, I hate this kid from "It's a Good Life" with a passion. We've taken up calling him "the little bastard" when we watch this episode each year. Lol. Should've caved his skull like dude said.

reply

I'm with you on this Effie...this kid is evil! Reminds me of the neighborhood bully growing up.

reply

He really does, except he's murderous and devoid of any decent qualities at all. I love this episode, but no matter how many times I've seen it I still get frustrated that all of these adults put up with his behavior. I know I would be banding together to knock his block off to get rid of him because living in that world cannot possibly be better than death.

reply

And then he ruins his dads crops by making it snow. Yeah, kill this kid!

reply

Invaders. Agnes Moorehead Gives a great performance with very little dialogue.

reply

She certainly does g-bone

reply

Not too sure I believe those little things were humans from earth. They reminded me more of the puppets from Puppet Master...

reply

People Are Alike All Over - This is a new one for me. I’ve only seen about half of all TZ episodes.

reply

I have always liked this one because I like Roddy McDowell and Susan Oliver (she is an icon to us Star Trek mavens).

reply

i never seen this one either....Not trusting these "humans" from mars...i think they are bad

reply

You were right to be suspicious.

reply

I see i was. Hopefully that one woman that is easy on the eyes will free him...

reply

This marathon is my favorite part of New Years Eve; and New Years Day too!!! The marathon will continue tomorrow my friends!!!! :)

reply

I just scrolled through the info guide on Dish to confirm that it continues tomorrow...it does! yayyyy

reply

Oh cool!!!! Enjoy!!! :)

reply

I'm back! Let's see how long I last with a few glasses of prosecco and half a pound of cheese and meatballs in my system...
