I don't condone domestic violence. However, given the situation, and especially because she just had a baby, she was both distraught and hormonal, so I do have a fair amount of sympathy for her.

This will likely be dismissed.
Many married mothers with a small child would do the same if not far worse if the husband was (allegedly) running around on her.
