Think she’ll have a career?
I’m thinking no, unfortunately.
She’s been in the two Godzilla/Kong movies and one episode of Magnum PI with nothing listed as upcoming in IMDB.
But I can’t imagine there are going to be many deaf character roles out there.
And even if there are, the competition with other deaf actors will be tough.
Though, while I see why the DEI cult is pushing it, working with actual deaf actors has got to be more time-consuming and expensive (translator, etc) than working with actors who can hear playing deaf.
I see the trend fading down the road as studios start caring more about production costs than pandering to the small “modern audiences” who aren’t making it worthwhile.
