On February 8, Thursday, Britney Spears revealed in an instagram post that Ben Affleck made out with her when she was 17, and he was 26. Is anyone else shocked by this? He did not give me pedophile vibes at all.

17 is hardly a child and Britney, was shall we say, quite "worldly" at that age and was not likely still a virgin at 17. In fact, I knew plenty of girls when I was in high-school that were sleeping with older guys.
Other than that, celebrities seem to do this occasionally. I remember when Anna Kournikova was dating that hockey player when she was 16. Nastassja Kinski dated several older men when she was still in her teens. Melanie Griffith dated a 22 year old when she was 14. etc..etc... the list goes on and on...
The flip side to all this is that celebs almost never get in trouble for it, it's just the average Joe's that get into trouble for it.
A pedophile is someone who has sexual desires towards prepubescent children. Being attracted to, and/or kissing, Britney Spears in 1999, when she was 17, does not make a person a pedophile. I'd say at most it's a little awkward, but realistically a 26-year-old Ben Affleck making out with Spears seems completely okay. By that point she was an international pop star, so unless he's been known to routinely date girls in their late teens, I'd say it was a one-off happenstance occurrence between two of the then-hottest stars on the planet.
