I'm not for the death penalty myself, but I don't think those two ideas are mutually exclusive. I think you can want to see serial killers, genocidal maniacs, and sex traffickers killed as punishment for their crimes and still be a caring human being.

I'm not speaking of Schwarzenegger's personal views on the death penalty. If he thinks jaywalkers should be shot or if he wants to fry somebody for B&E or something, I'll rethink it.

That's the impression I got. Trump spoke (or tweeted) ill of Arnie's handling of the show when it began to flop. That pissed Arnie off and the rest is history. I think Trump spoke out of disappointment over the flop and would probably have praised Arnie's performance had it been successful. I only wish Trump had later conveyed those feelings to Arnold and apologized.
