Favorite cheese?

My fave is Mozzarella, simply because it's usually used in fried cheese sticks. I also like cheddar, too. I love cheese.

Gouda

On hamburgers: American. Yes I said it.

reply

It's okay if you like American on burgers.

Never had Gouda....

reply

I like swiss, cause its holy.

reply

Swiss is okay.

reply

A sharp Swiss is my favorite but I love most of them.

reply

Yep, I love cheese!

American Cheese

But only recently (over the past few years) I've started to enjoy Provolone.

reply

I just had a few slices of Provolone today!

reply

Soft goat cheese. Goes good with toast or bagels.

gouda

reply

I should try it one of these days....

reply

It's a tie between Havarti, Muenster, and Tierno.

reply

I've only had Muenster. I recall it was good!

reply

If you liked Muenster you would probably like those other two as well.

This thread has made me hungry and I am now off to go buy some cheese lol 🧀 😁

reply

Oh okay. Thanks for the info about the other cheeses.

And you're welcome on this topic making you hungry!

reply

I have returned from my exploratory cheese mission.

I bought Havarti cheese imported from Denmark, but I noticed a few people here mentioned Gouda, and I bought that as well.

Both are delicious and somewhat similar since they are soft cheeses, but the Gouda is slightly firmer. Taste-wise, the Gouda is milder and more subtle, while the Havarti is creamier and packs a more robust flavor.

Ok, I better stop eating and put these in the fridge before I put on 10lbs lol.

reply

Hehe..welcome back! And yes, that does sound tempting, so good idea on storing the cheeses!

reply

Emmental

I found some in the fridge the other day and I had it with cheese biscuits and it was delicious.

reply

I should try it.

reply

Never heard of it. I'll make Emmental note of it.

reply

I'd write it down personally, but then again I've got a brain like a sieve and can never remember edam thing.
