What is your favourite Bond movie?

I haven't seen all of them, but I really dig "Goldfinger". I watched it on the plane. I find the older Bond movies more enjoyable than the newer versions for some reason.

To me, Goldfinger is the quintessential Bond movie. I pretty much lost interest after Sean Connery and Roger Moore retired from the role.

"Pussy Galore" 🤣

I pretty much lost interest when Roger Moore GOT the role.

But yes, Goldfinger is my pick for best Bond movie, too.

Live and Let Die was certainly no Diamonds Are Forever so I can see that...

You Only Live Twice. I don't care much for Goldfinger, Bond is basically a bystander for almost the entire 2nd half of the film.

Great movie, and has one of the most beautiful cars ever built--the Toyota 2000GT

Yes!! And the GT convertible version used in the film was never mass produced. There are only 2 in existence.

Well, that's what a Government agent would be doing, in that Fort Knox raid situation. He'd be just one of the boys, doing what he was supposed to do to help the US Army in their operation against Goldfinger. He wouldn't be the lone hero there. That's one of the things I like about "Goldfinger". It's a bit more logical than later Bonds, in which he practically saves the day single-handed.

All of them except the last four that seemed the least like Bond... the Bond that kept a franchise going for 50 should years.... turned into, I have no idea.

reply

Agree with Goldfinger, but I really liked the Daniel Craig era.

While I think that Goldfinger is a very good movie, like BillySlater, You Only Live Twice is my favorite.
Btw, Goldfinger was the first Bond film I saw on the big silver screen. I was 12 years old when it opened in 1964.
And for the record, Sean Connery was the one, true, "Bond, James Bond."

For Your Eyes Only and Goldeneye.

Casino Royale, mostly for the music, I like that haunting piano music that plays as moneypenny dies.
