from my seat, christians, catholics, luthern, baptist etc all try to rely on the bible for morality compass, direction, actions and reactions in life. Yes, everyone fails to live up to it time and again, but at least they are trying to be nice, love others etc. "Love your enemy, be kind to all, think of others..." etc

now we have social justice stepping up and telling us what is right, moral, and just when it comes to interactions with others. "this is bad offends these peoples, must remove, make everyone happy..."

is this not the exact same thing that religion has been doing to keep society aligned proper, respectfully to each other?

is SJW a new religion?
and is it working where religion fails?

It's primarily phony virtue signaling. In 20 years, people will be amazed that people were this stupid.

I do totally agree with you here...

But, I'm seeing parallels with things religion has been doing for many years: protecting people from mental/emotional/spiritual harm by pressing for peoples to be nicer.
I feel like SJW heart may be in the right place on some things, but implemented poorly. For the most part I see SJW failing due to the impossibility of cleansing EVERYTHING, but kind of the same with religion: people will vary with their ways, but at least religion has a solid baseline... not one that moves constantly as SJW goal posts do.

I'm unhappy to tell you this, but most people are idiots. It's the few that aren't who have kept our species from destroying ourselves before now. There's a reason God compared most humans to sheep.

I would like to think with all the access we have now (totally free internet at any library gets you EVERYTHING, verses the past when you had outdate encyclopedias) people would be getting smarter overall, instead of believing the earth is flat and the government is run by reptiles

No, social justice is not a religion. Christians should be concerned about and advocating for social justice. If someone is following the Bible properly, then they will be doing social justice already. Here is a Bible verse for you to reflect on:

"He has told you, mortal one, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?"

But people shun and run down religion, then do the same things as SJW? Same same?

Yet SJW lacks a foundation to adhere to. It can be anything to anyone at any time and change the next day. I don't think functional religions would last long doing that.

well SJW are wrapped up in culture and I think if you're not a comedian or a country musician or whatever there's a moral obligation to save face and look good doing it being a celebrity. SJW are wrapped up in the culture, can you blame them, it's not like they are living your life. Or maybe I have a god complex I dunno, we all do if we are on these boards lol.

I think some of it is bullshit, i'm not an expert and as ignorant as some of the righty poopers on this board. But I was a long time coming with the education also because of money and only being able to succeed at community colleges. So we are all dumb, rightys just like making a good buck more. But I am flawed because everyone certainly likes money lol.

comedy brings you back to reason though, nobody is better but a lot of people don't think that way. i like music also, tv shows I lost my patience with. they used to be fun to watch but I been having concentration issues for reason I don't want to describe..

In the sense that society used to be morally and thus legally governed by the beliefs of the dominant religion, yes, it is.

For example, if gays are equal, then their sexual lifestyle is equal, therefore society should use our science and technology to help them have kids.

Whereas if you are a Christian, gays are sinners, their sex life is a great sin, therefore they should be barred from making families.
