I have been known to sleepwalk on occasions. My mother was also a sleepwalker.

reply

sleepwalking is fascinating. i just don't know how people can walk around and not be aware of it.

reply

It's odd alright but I have absolutely no memory from the times I have been sleepwalking.

reply

I've experienced sleep paralysis off and on most of my life. Much less in recent years, though.

reply

I get it every now and then. Terrifying.

reply

I've had it a couple of times and it was awful.

reply

When I was younger, and in my mid-twenties, I'd have sleep paralysis episodes off and on. But they've stopped after my last episode -- as it was happening, I acknowledged to myself "This is sleep paralysis", I stayed calm, and within a second or two I snapped out of it. It's all about awareness.

What's odd though, I have paralysis in my dream state ever so often.

reply

To me, it is a sensation akin to drowning, even though I can breathe. I'm below the surface of the water and have to fight my way back to the surface.

reply

that doesn't sound good at all.

reply

We need a whole new thread just about this. I’ve only had it twice - the first time scared the crap out of me, lol.

reply

It happened to me once when I was younger.
I heard my father listening to the radio in the kitchen, but I couldn't fully wake up or move.
That was creepy, but I fell asleep again and never experienced it again.

reply

I talk, and talk, and talk.

reply

must be tough on the boyfriend.

Separate bedrooms

setup a recorder & playback for laughs or confusion

‘Penguin…I’m so mad at you Penguin! Why are you on my lawn Penguin?!?
FUCK YOU PENGUIN!’

*sample dialogue

reply

I have to tuck my feet into the end of the duvet to prevent cat attacks

reply

That’s enough to make you homicidal in the middle of the night!

If it’s strictly an indoor cat you might look into de-clawing the little beast

Or maybe shut it out of your bedroom at night..?

reply

TRY A DOZEN.😉

reply

No, I’m great in bed

reply

that's not what i hear. 😊

reply

Oh that was just that one time after a particularly brutal NY Giants loss, I was distracted !!!

reply

I don’t know, I’m asleep.

TA-DAA!

reply

According to my little brother when he spent the night at my apartment back in 2013, I said, "Moe! Get in the car!" while in my sleep. And I have never known anybody named Moe.

reply

are you a simpsons fan?

reply

A bit but at the time I didn't watch it. I watched it a lot as a kid but wasn't watching it very often as an adult.

reply

I'm a very restless sleeper. I toss and turn a lot. In life or in sleep, I just can't ever seem to get comfortable.
