i start in the center of the bed and i tend to move to the right and push my little wifey right off the edge of the bed. many a time i have been awoken at 4am and told to move over you big lug. otherwise i am a sound sleeper.
When I was younger, and in my mid-twenties, I'd have sleep paralysis episodes off and on. But they've stopped after my last episode -- as it was happening, I acknowledged to myself "This is sleep paralysis", I stayed calm, and within a second or two I snapped out of it. It's all about awareness.
What's odd though, I have paralysis in my dream state ever so often.
It happened to me once when I was younger.
I heard my father listening to the radio in the kitchen, but I couldn't fully wake up or move.
That was creepy, but I fell asleep again and never experienced it again.
According to my little brother when he spent the night at my apartment back in 2013, I said, "Moe! Get in the car!" while in my sleep. And I have never known anybody named Moe.
