Don't you hate it when a product you love gets discontinued.

Cheap, effective and great for dry sensitive skin.

Bastards !

Too many times to mention.

Tide with a Touch of Downy Clean Breeze
Windex Crystal Rain

R.I.P. 😢

Fun fact - most discontinued items just re-emerge under a different name and new packaging. Just look for a new item that has similar specs and it will likely be the same product ( probably cost more too 😒).

Here's hoping. The bar has a bit of a reputation as a make up removal beast so I imagine there will be some discontent. Of course just because it seems to have been discontinued in Australia doesn't mean the same thing will happen elsewhere. Some strange things have been going on during the pandemic as well so who knows, it might reappear.

One problem though... the "different name and new packaging" may be based on the original product but it is now being produced with cheaper, inferior ingredients. And the price will be higher.

You're not looking very far, the stuff is all over Amazon.

reply

It's not available in Australia and if I order it from Amazon US with shipping it will cost me $8 a bar where I was paying under $3.

reply

Yeah. I really do. Especially when there's no warning that it's going to get discontinued, so you can't even stock up. And worse still, when they bring back a "new and improved" version of the item, which is nowhere near as good and usually costs more, or else just never bring it back ever.

Popeye's Cajun Rice....

I'm right there with you. My favorite store-brand clone of a more famous face wash, was discontinued in the 'gentle' version. I tried the regular version but it's just too harsh for my aging skin. Now I have to buy the national brand at twice the price. Argh!

I find it to be a common problem that so many things either disappear without warning, or the ingredients are degraded to cheaper ones. These days I feel like I must decide almost immediately after buying say, a pair of running shoes, whether to buy another pair right away, lest they cheapen the next version - if there is one.

Yes it's a pain. My ten year old Panasonic plasma 40" widescreen TV is showing it's age and I had a look at what's on offer to replace it. They don't make plasma TV's anymore and all you can get are really cheap LCD TV's that weigh less than a third of my Panasonic. I guess they only last for a few years and then it's chuck them out and get the next one.

Campbell's Chunky Soup changed their chicken noodle recipe about 20 years ago and completely ruined it. It used to be chocked full of noodles now it's like every other canned chicken noodle soup in a watery broth. That's the one which annoys me to this day.
