Flex Seal Rubber Spray - it works!

Had a tiny leak in a PVC joint from some plumbing and while at the hardware store on my way to the plumbing section, I saw this flex seal spray rubber stuff. It was $4 for a small can. I thought what the heck, it will save me some time and mess rather than cutting and replacing the PVC. Sprayed on a few coats and the spot has remained dry for 48 hours. Who knows how long it will last, but it actually worked!

When I used it as hair spray, it was horrible! I couldn't get it out and it ruint my hair!

Just remember what happened on Gilligan’s Island when they used that “permanent waterproof” glue to repair the S.S. Minnow.

I always found it odd that the Professor could make a radio out of two coconuts, but couldn't fix a hole in the side of a boat.

What's the deal with that! Classic Seinfeld joke!

Not that there's anything wrong with that!

And what's the deal with Oprah? She's fat, she's thin, she's fat again. Just pick a body and go with it!

IKR. That whole show was designed to make the watcher lose their mind.

They had an island full of trees too. Tom Hanks made a raft out of a portapotty door and bamboo sticks.

My mistake. I forgot how beloved he is, lol.

my dad bought the paint on stuff (not the spreadable puddy like in the commercial) to seal his RV roof and it didn't do shit.

I have a concrete wall in my basement that is near or below the groundwater line. If we get intense rain the water starts to seep in. I sprayed it with Flex seal and it works. The water does not come in. However it has worn off a couple times over the years so it does require renewing.

A couple of years though, that's totally worth it! I was thinking if this repair lasts one year I would be really surprised.

It's a shame they did not do it to the outside of the foundation where they would do it today.

Agree with that. They built houses so shoddy back in the day but they cost so much. More goes into cars I think.

Good to know, thanks.

Well, that seems like the question ... how long did it last?

Still holding strong!

6 month update: Still working great, no leaks and dry.

Yeah wish I'd discovered it before I replaced my steel gutters. Current aluminum gutters suck
