Do women prefer men with a beard or clean-shaven?

Well, ladies?

reply

Very, very subjective....it depends!

For me personally it’s the person that matters rather than what’s on their face. My partner never used to have a beard....then it went to designer stubble and now he has a beard.

With regards to celebrities for example, the people I like, I usually like either way.

What if they got a ZZ Top-esque beard?

reply

Haha good question.
I don’t think it would matter to be fair.
I mean, I assume he’d already be that quirky and it would be part of his ‘look’, so it’s part of him - or would be. Even not, if the guy changes his look often and gets that beard one time, that’s up to him - he is still the same person.
I’d have to admire his commitment and the time he’d take to keep it well.

What's up with all these celebrities and pro athletes and their facial hair? Some of them look like they stepped out of a time machine from the Woodstock Festival.

The hippie era was history by the 1980s. This is 2021, not 1969.

My husband has a very short beard and I think he looks better with it than without.

I like beards as long as they are well groomed and not long or bushy.

reply

Usually clean-shaven, although some men with a weak jawline do look better with a beard. Not one of those hipster ones, though!

reply

Suuuuuure. Admit it, you like the hipster guys with the bird-nest beards and man-buns.

reply

Thanks for the visualization. Now I need brain bleach!🤮

reply

I am not a woman but I prefer being clean shaven because anytime I ever tried growing a beard my face itched a lot.

I hate the beard trend as when a certain style trend catches on for guys it feels like everyone does it. It's as stupid as the Fade Haircut. I do the 5 O'clock shadow look on occasion but eventually I shave. Also facial hair get's insanely hot in the summer months.

reply

I agree. It's another stupid fad. Slovenly and unsanitary. Beards were fashionable back in the 19th Century before the invention of the safety razor. Nowadays there is no excuse for it. Is our society regressing?

I've grown a beard probably three times just out of curiosity as to how I would look. I ended up shaving soon after because it was uncomfortable. I can't see how these neo-hippie pro athletes can stand it, especially during the middle of summer.

If you keep one side clean shaven and one side with a bushy beard, you can attract a woman with either kind of preference.

This plan seems foolproof😆
The Ladies will never catch on!

I don't mind neat, short beards, and I like clean shaven but that's just me. I have several friends who like their men with long, beards, which I think are gross.

I'm a little fascinated with the monkey tail beard though. I can't say I find it attractive....but I'm not saying that it's unattractive either.
