Do you like gyros sandwich?
I like gyros! The meat is delicious!
shareIsn’t that lamb meat?
shareYes. Why?
share"In Greece, gyros is normally made with pork, though other meats are also used. Chicken is common, and lamb or beef may be found more rarely. Typical American mass-produced gyros are made with finely ground beef mixed with lamb." - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gyro_(food)
Your typical American gyro, even if it is from a Greek restaurant, is a mixture of beef and lamb and seasonings. I prefer this, as I had an all-lamb gyro once and didn't like it.
Yep, you're right. Although all-lamb does seem appetizing, too....
shareMany years ago, I had an American gyro from a Greek restaurant. It was kind of greasy and left an aftertaste for hours, that I didn't like.
shareOh yeah.
shareYeah, pork gyros is good. But you need to eat it in a pita!
shareYes I do and the best I ever had was from a street vendor in Santorini.
shareYes, quite a lot
It's a delicious and very messy staple at many street fairs and outdoor gatherings here in New York
