Can anyone logically explain my UFO sighting?

I once looked to the sky in the middle of the day and saw a shining object. Normally these would become planes as they move and stop reflecting direct sunlight.

But this didn't move. It stayed there reflecting light for around 15 minutes.

I kept looking at it wondering when it would just become a plane but it didn't.

Then it faded away.

Strangely, it reappeared half a mile away in another part of the sky.

It stayed there for awhile and the faded away as well.

Any logical explanation?

No I can't but as far as UFO sightings go it's pretty much at the low end of the spectrum.

My daughter lost her grip on a helium balloon in the yard some years ago, that balloon really hung in the sky all bright and shiny for a very long time

How, EXACTLY, do you know how far away it was? How large was it?

Distance and size of objects in the sky is very difficult to gauge due to parallax.

What shape was it?

Was there any noise from it?

Any vapor trail?

No, just a stationary object reflecting sunlight in the distance. Definitely in the sky. Not stratesphere

It is hard to say without seeing it but it may be just due to refraction of light.

I don't get the point of what you are asking. How can people who did not witness it tell you what it was?

Truth is it could have been anything. There could be many explanations.

But you said it was reflecting sunlight so your view of it could not have been that clear due to the suns reflection.

Basically, you don't know what it was, so just leave it at that.
