I've stayed with people who get really upset if you do that. Not sure why. The towels have to be washed anyway.🤷‍♀️

If they don't have anything else to put on the floor what else are you supposed to do? The only reason I prefer not to is because I use bathmats that have a backing so I don't slip.

Yeah that is my towel cycle: hand towel —> shower towel —> foot towel —> laundry.

I use hot water and bleach so the towels are well cleaned.

Rinse cycle dilutes, dryer evaporates. My skin is healthy so no sides effects.

That's the consensus, but I don't mind it, I may even like it a little. I can see it being used as part of a rustic, folk art motif.
