Hey, what make and model of cell phone do you have?

Everyone these days seems to have a cell phone with them at all times, so what make and model of cell phone do you have if you're no different?

What carrier do you have?

What service plan do you have? How long have you had it? Why do you have it?

Is it contract or prepaid?

I don't have a cell phone right now, but I should lol. I wish i did.

I have an iPhone 7, that I bought new in March and my service is with T Mobile. No contract, just auto pay each month. I like Verizon better, but when I retired in March I had to turn in my company phone,(which was also a iPhone 7) and T Mobile offered an over 55 rate - 2 lines unlimited everything for $55 total. Nobody else can come close to that, a least where I live.

Alcatel. I don't know the model number. It's a cheap flip phone, cost about $60. I'm not interested in having apps and such (I've got an iPad for that), so spending hundreds on a phone would be stupid. I bought it to replace a cell phone that had gone bad after working fine for eight years; also a cheap flip phone which cost $40 when I bought it in 2012.

> Why do you have it?

For emergencies. I rarely use it.

ATT, prepaid. Ten cents per minute. The minutes aren't good indefinitely, so I've got to buy new minutes when the existing ones expire. The way the plan is set up, the cheapest way to do it is to buy $100 which is good for a year. That's more time than I use, so basically I pay $8.33 per month for the service. I don't think ATT offers that plan anymore, but I was able to keep that plan when I got the new phone.

So there it is. I bought it because pay phones had become a thing of the past, I hardly ever use it, and I pay a fraction of what my friends do with their fancy phones and all-you-can-eat service plans.
