Most beautiful piece of music in a movie

I was listening to favorites this evening at dinner and I have several, but I think the most beautiful piece ever composed for a movie has to be Gabriel's Oboe from The Mission. If heaven has a sound, it has to be that.

Other favorites are the themes from Legends of the Fall and Out of Africa.

What do you think is the most beautiful or stirring movie theme?

reply

no lie, the mission soundtrack was the first thing that popped into my head.

I love the score in Beauty and the Beast (1991).

The ending of Pocahontas is also beautiful.

The Fargo theme.

Nice entries so far. My choice, and I'm going vocal here.
