If u were a mod

Like if you were jcarter, eg, would you ban people for

A) bullying and harassment, and making fun of people with cancer

B) having a diferent opinion than you

?
Remember in this poll you are NOT john carter.

reply

Who is john carter?

reply

IMdb2

reply

Didn’t he go to Mars?

reply

He got back.

reply

I THOUGHT HE WORKED WITH ERIQ LASALLE IN THE ER.

reply

I'd completely ban people who disagree with me. Anybody who doubted that Konosuba is the absolute best comedy series in the last decade would be banned permanently, ruthlessly.

reply

I'd go mad with power, gather my like-minded compatriots, bring the traitorous dissenters to heel, and declare myself High Lord Moderator!
Today MovieChat... tomorrow the World!!!

I'm not a Mod. I'm a Rocker!

reply

Rocker all the way.

reply

Rock on! 🤘

reply

Quadrophenia reference. :)

There's only one person I can't help but bully and that's Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and his corny wanna be musician followers. Because it's been a travesty of fame and fortune that those idiots ever garnered any following and monetary credit. They should all have been booed off the 1st stage they set foot on they're so bad! Maybe even been egged and tomatoed in the process of being booed and told to get lives and jobs lol.

reply

I agree. They are awful!

reply

I'm an old school rocker and I grew up listening to Aerosmith, tho I admit, like many others, I don't find them as entertaining as they once were.
That being said, I'd like to point out that they have survived and thrived in the most ruthless and vicious industry in world entertainment since the early '70s. I challenge Anyone to match that feat. The fact that this band rakes in royalties of multimillions every year is testament to their popularity And success.
Does Steven Tyler sound like a cat being strangled and look like someone's grandma? Absolutely.
But rock and roll was Never about talent... it's ALWAYS been about the Show!!! 😁

reply

KISS did pretty much the same thing.

reply

Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley admitted many times that they were mediocre musicians at best.

But WOW what a show!

reply

I was really into KISS when I was seventh grade then I got into Aerosmith. Then I discovered Black Sabbath and never looked back.

reply

My late teens were... uncomfortable. So I basically ran from the dark to the light. Boston, Steve Miller, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc. Didn't get into stuff like Sabbath and The Doors much later. I mean, my first concert, age 15, was Jimmy Buffett 😎

reply

My first concert was the Eagles Hotel California tour when I was about 13. Good memories. After Black Sabbath I got into Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Queen, etc. Then I got into thrash metal such as Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, etc. Even though I listen to many genres of music thrash metal remains my favorite.

reply

Nice ;) That first batch of old rock was (still is) my groove. I started listening to the harder stuff sometime after high school.

reply

I'm a musician also. I learned the violin at a young age then guitar. However I'll admit I didn't amount too much on the guitar. And now I'm according to many an accomplished singer. So I know some things about music and talent. Alas which brings me to address your last sentence. I disagree that rock n roll was never about talent. Because from what I've seen it looks like things were pretty good talent wise up until the rise of Aerosmith (I use that term loosely, lol). And I think things stayed pretty good through til about the 90's. Then we started to see the rise of other acts that really began kicking the rock scene in the teeth. They started calling it grunge. A word rather close to "garbage". Many of the acts of today if they had gotten up on stage any time prior to 1970 and did what their doing now they would have been tarred and feathered. So it's my belief that Aerosmith started the wrecking ball swinging on rock n roll music or music in general.

reply

I started playing alto sax in 6th grade and was singing for a rock band at age 22. Nothing mindblowing but good enough to make money and draw a small following. It's true there were, and still are, incredibly talented musicians in the genre, rock is such a wide spectrum the talent pool basically spills over.
I guess what I meant was that talent alone won't put you on that grand stage. You MUST be able to put on that show that draws the public's attention. Otherwise you become a studio musician (no slur there, the greatest players I met - hands down), or like the vast vast majority of us - do something else.

If I were a mod, everyone would be driving gold Rolls Royces and the streets would be paved with hamburgers.

reply

"Doxxing" and blatant spam are the only two banworthy, or even reportable, offenses on a forum IMO.

reply

Hope I wouldn’t have to interfere often since I’m dealing with adults and consider everyone that reported another person to be an immature rat.

reply

Should anti-Semitism be reported? If so, would it make the person reporting it a rat? Ironic since Hitler's propaganda machine likened the Jewish to rats. It was a way to dehumanize them. It made it easier to commit genocide against them.

reply

You’ll have to start another topic on that shit bro. I was just saying what I’d do if I were a mod. You need to settle down.

reply

I didn't realize you were joking. My apologies.

reply

Not joking about thinking it’s childish to report someone but you came out swinging with some crazy hitler shit I have no interest in discussing.
