Do You Trust "New" Users?

When I see (4) or really anything under (100), I'm skeptical.

Well, I answered my previous question/post... I guess you only have to wait 60 seconds to create a new post.

reply

It depends entirely on the content of the post.

reply

Agreed.

reply

I used to say the same, but it seems like a new user will try and act normal at first. Sometimes I see a new user posting endlessly to up their number to avoid suspicion.

reply

It depends. If they post something that looks like spam or an advertisement, then I wouldn't trust them. If they post about movies or an introductory post that seems legit, I would trust them.

reply

NAILED THAT 5K

reply

Thanks.

reply

If they're introducing themselves, yes I trust them.

reply

Shit, I never introduced myself!

reply

I didn't either. And I lurked for a year and a half.

reply

We are not to be trusted!

reply

Well, when you start reaching 100 posts or so that's a different story.

reply

Who the hell are you?!?

reply

I'm not sure anymore. Monopoly???

reply

Probably no differently than the older users.

I wouldn't necessarily put my trust in the 1K+ users just because they've been around longer or such.

I guess my point is that I normally give the benefit of the doubt.

reply

I see what you did there. ;)

reply

You can usually tell early on if a poster is serious or not.

reply

I know what you mean and I feel the same.

reply

TRUST NO-ONE

THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE - *way out there...*
