Now that it's Dec. 14th - IT'S ALL OVER FOLKS!

President Donald Trump lambasted the Supreme Court on Saturday for declining to take a case he hoped would overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s election victory and called Attorney General William Barr a “disappointment.”

The nation’s high court late on Friday rejected an unprecedented lawsuit by Texas seeking to throw out voting results from four states.

The decision comes ahead of a meeting by the U.S. Electoral College on Monday to make Biden’s victory official.

Every attempt Trump did to try to subvert the result of the election failed. Today is the day they confirm Biden as President. Hope you were entertained from all the funny business of crazy conspiracies of mass voter fraud to farting along with hair dye dripping Giuliani, to those fake million march of less than a quarter showing up. Was fun watching the other side play the game of not accepting the results but on a more grander scale. Trump was pulling all the ads as if he were still campaigning.

reply

Yeah but they all got paid which totally owned the libs.

reply

Trump raised 200 mil from his rube supporters since election day to "stop the steal". I'd say if anyone got owned it's the trumpanzees that believed him.

Conning deserving rubes out of their hard earned cash must be nice when it's that easy.

reply

That's half of the loan that's going to be called in when he leaves office.

reply

Yes. "To own the libs" is just a meme. It's the Trumpist belief that anything Trump does triggers the left and is therefore worth it, even if it ends up hurting the Trumpist.

reply

Does this mean all the people with TDS will stop talking about Trump and finally start supporting their dementia patient?

reply

The TDS will most likely simmer down after he’s incarcerated

reply

Thank God...

I can see...all kinds of riots.

...How sad!!

reply

Good Lord...

Can you imagine?

reply

It's funny that you think so.

Today is not the end. This is just getting started.

reply

It is the end. Electors cast their votes Monday across the country, confirming the winning total for President-elect Biden ... 306 for him, and 232 for now-outgoing President Trump.

I'm genuinely curious, how is this not the end? What is going to happen?

reply

It's not over until Congress counts the electoral votes. State legislatures can still choose to send a different slate of electors from those voting today. At the Joint Session on 1/6, Congress would decide which slate to accept and decide on any objections that may arise.

reply

Take off the band-aid now you'll save yourself some pain come Jan 21st.

reply

It ain't over 'til it's over. Stephen Miller mentioned that alternate electors are sending their votes to Congress for Trump. On January sixth, the House and Senate could throw out the votes for the contested states. I think it's over on January sixth but there will be plotting and scheming over the next few weeks.

On your first link:
"Constitutional scholars and even members of the president’s own party say the effort is all but certain to fail. But the looming battle on Jan. 6 is likely to culminate in a messy and deeply divisive spectacle that could thrust Vice President Mike Pence into the excruciating position of having to declare once and for all that Mr. Trump has indeed lost the election."

On your second link:
'alternate slate' of electors... Lol, amusing he called it that, like alternate facts.

Leave it to Trump to overturn the will of the people. He can't stand losing and will do anything to win, even if it turns the country into a real 3rd world country that he espouses. More entertainment for me though whichever path he takes. The fight for democracy drags on if that's the case.

The only reason I like Trump doing this is that it's exposing all these things we've never seen before that has never been tried before in this country because opponents all accept the results and concede (minus Al Gore for 36 days but did concede after) for the betterment of the country. Trump has been going on with it for 41+ days and counting.

I'm hinging on him pulling a coupe/insurgency/using his rabid base to prevent his eviction if all else fails. He's already repeating the message enough to brainwash them to cult-like fashion so maybe I will get my popcorn fun. Who knows, this might dissuade this particular group from ever voting again since they will claim it's always been rigged after this whole debacle is over.

Dec. 8: States finish vote certification - Biden
Dec. 14: Electors vote - Biden
Jan. 6: Congress formalizes the outcome
Jan. 20: Inauguration Day

Little Tidbit:
January 6, 2021 at 1 p.m.: Vote count is finalized as the results are certified

The sitting vice president, acting as the Senate president, presides over a joint session of Congress to read aloud the certificates cast by the electors representing all 50 states and Washington, DC, in alphabetical order to finalize the vote count.

If no members of Congress object to any of the certificates in writing, the Senate president officially certifies the selection of the president-elect and vice president-elect.

Already, some Trump allies in the House, including Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama, have indicated that they intend to challenge states' slates of electoral votes in that joint session. However, a member of the House and a member of the Senate must both vote to challenge a given state's electors.

At that point, both the House and Senate would deliberate on whether to accept that state's slate of electors. After the 2004 election, for example, House and Senate Democrats challenged Ohio's electoral college votes after widespread reports of election mismanagement and voter suppression in the state. Congress eventually accepted the state's electoral votes.

"Who knows, this might dissuade this particular group from ever voting again since they will claim it's always been rigged after this whole debacle is over."

And what do you imagine will happen if 70+ million people become convinced that their vote is meaningless?

reply

It's not hard to figure out Jack. They'll join the other 150 million Americans who don't vote.

reply

I've always wondered why the other half don't vote in a 323m population. About 169m didn't even bother to vote. Guess it doesn't affect them either way all that much.

reply

The Trumpers will falsely blame the dems while the dems giggle about Trump fucking over the GOP.

You can pretty much say goodbye to Trump's chances in 2024. Lol.
