Finale is the best yet

Absolutely brilliant episode, vader was fantastic huge cameos

Finale was a 7 at best... overall the series is a 5 (being somewhat generous).

I disliked the show with a passion, however, I agree with you here. Pretty decent episode and the Vader/Obi fight was fantastic.

reply

Yep, awesome episode.

Overall a very flawed series but I still enjoyed it for the most part.

Well being slightly better than mediocre is not exactly an accomplishment

I admit the finale was the best episode, but that isn't saying much. The whole series was pretty bad, but I would give this episode a 6/10. I laughed so much when Vader had the high ground, I thought for sure he was going to say it.

It seems like the purpose of Luke is pretty much useless though. If Obi-Wan can beat down Vader in his prime, what's the point of Luke? Yoda should have been training Obi-Wan all this time to come back and lead the rebellion. Made no sense for Obi-Wan to leave Vader alive, at least in the prequel he was limbless and burning alive so yeah he looked dead, but here, no sense at all other than well he has to survive because the OT exists.

reply

That was funny how he was just like "Goodbye Darth" and just walked off.

Why not just have some stormtroopers and Inquisitors turn up all of a sudden and Obi-Wan has to flee before he can kill Vader? It's not great but it'd be better than what we got.

Yeah, that was pretty laughable.

Obi-Wan is in hiding on Tatooine, watching over and waiting for Luke to develop because that boy is their last hope. Apart from the fact he could easily have dispatched of Anaking TWICE now... Who needs Luke exactly and why?

The Kenobi-Vader fight was better, and kid Luke can actually run at a decent speed unlike kid Leia, but otherwise it was just alright, and the show overall was still mediocre. This show shouldn’t have been made, but if they had to do it, it should’ve been based on the Kenobi book from Legends.

Everyone’s acting was bad, especially Reva’s; it should’ve been about Ben and Luke; and while I think it should’ve been a western, Mando and Boba already did that, so maybe a Last Samuria-type show or something could’ve worked instead.

I agree.

I pretty much loved the finale. The music score was a little weak. I had a feeling all the good stuff would be in this episode since the entire series was filler. The strongest bits were all the wrapups and goodbyes. They really summoned up the nostalgic feels in a good way. This really should have been a movie. Tighter script with no nonsense, way more special effects, aliens and robots, a camera that didn't shake around, and a proper epic score and this thing woulda made a billion dollars. I found the escaping ship swerving around in front of the star destroyer to be absolutely comical. "I'll try spinning, that's a good trick!"

reply

Yep, should have been a film.

Obi-Wan has to come out of hiding to rescue Leia, fights some Inquisitors, draws the attention of Vader and we have an epic duel between the two.

$250 million budget and just make it an awesome action film. If crap like The Rise of Skywalker can make $1 billion then a film that brings back Ewan and Vader definitely could.

I agree... there were hints of some magic there, and the Vader/Kenobi fight was great. However, it was not much a story overall and it definitely felt stretched out. It was a decent enough show, but this should have been a really fun and thrilling two-hour movie with some great action sets.
