I liked seeing dinosaurs in real world locations like Malta and the underground dino market, I would have liked them to focus on this rather than the new park. Overall I put it slightly ahead of JP3, solid enough.
shareI preferred JP3 to this. I thought this was overlong, poorly paced and really dull overall. JP3 you got a decent 90 minute thrill ride with some cool raptor scenes whereas whatever good there is in Dominion is stretched out over 150 minutes.
I couldn’t believe how boring it was at times.
I thought it was terrible. Almost a comedy.

shareI liked seeing the original cast together again for the first time in almost thirty years. They still had good chemistry for the most part, in my opinion.
I also liked the (brief) scenes of the planet being overrun by dinosaurs. There wasn’t nearly enough of that though, it could have definitely been milked a lot more and sort of felt like an afterthought.
That was the main reason I wanted to see the movie, the premise of our world being taken over by dinosaurs everywhere has so much potential but it was basically glossed over here in favor of having the humans just trying to escape from dinosaurs in the jungle yet again. I’m pretty sick of that tired formula in these movies but oh well.
Oh, and I thought the T-Rex fighting that other dinosaur near the end was fun even though it’s definitely nothing new in this series.
The practical effects and the Malta chase. The epilogue and prolog were good, too.
shareI felt the same way. Though the whole thing with the 'plague of locusts' comes out of left-field, it's mind-boggling. They easily could had kept it to Biosyn as the ones behind the dino-smuggling syndicate and it'd make a simpler plot. Also it needed a catfight between the pilot and the Asian chick in the 3rd act.
