Yeah, it's mind boggling to me, the hysterical backlash against this movie. As a lifelong fan of movies, I am so used to the disclaimers of "based on a true story", "inspired by a true story", etc. I have never seen anything like this.
I would call them out as well. If you are true to your beliefs, and not loyal to a political party, there shouldn’t be any contradictions.
The main difference that I see between the parties is that I don’t see republicans defending it. Democrats will defend it, call any criticism some sort of phobia or ism.

No he didn't. Did you even see the movie? He says at the end most child slaves are from the United States and are in the United States. Almost every one of the people involved in saving the initial 54 kids were from Columbia. He was just involved.
And as far as the Catholic Church is concerned, yes, they are guilty, as well as every other denomination and religion. We had a pastor at our church (BTW, not Catholic) who's in prison for taking off with hi 14 year old girl friend.

My wife and I seen this movie yesterday, and it was a very good movie. The writing, acting and directing was top notch. I don't know where all the politicization is coming from. There is no mention of politics, no mention of religion, no insinuation that pedophiles are on the left or the right. There is barely any mention of God. 2 lines, "Gods children aren't for sale" and "when God calls you, you have to answer". Thats it. I don't know where all this shit about "far right this and that" and QAnon" is coming from. I would think that we all could finally have something we can agree on. Its like some people don't want human trafficing being brought to light.
