Should James Cameron direct the next sequel?

Is he still on form and health to work as a film director?

reply

Judging by all the sequels he wants to do for Avatar and given it is 30 years since he did T2, I would say he's past his prime and shouldn't bother returning to it. I guess the truth will be revealed by the quality of these Avatar sequels.

reply

James lost the rights to Terminator in the divorce to Linda Hamilton. She caused this whole mess.

LMAO...SO DUMB.

You sure? It’s pretty warm where I am, libtard. If anyone here is offended, it’s clearly you lol

reply

That’s what I thought, chickenshit.

reply

Fuck off, DOUCHEBAG.

reply

He practically never had them to begin with. He sold them for a dollar in exchange to direct the original. I think you're confusing this divorce drama with George Lucas'.

reply

No, he hasn't done anything of merit in decades. Avatar made money, but it was the reestablishment of 3-d as a special effect that drew the money. from a story telling perspective Avatar was a piece of trash. I knew what was going to happen in the entire movie in the first 10 minutes- that's not a sign of good story telling. Cameron peaked as a creative story teller in the the late 80s/ early 90s. Yes, Titanic was another film that made oodles, and oodles of money, and the interior sets of the Titanic were beautiful, and mechanically brilliant, but the story line was dribble. Most of the money that it made came from fanatical 14 year old girls who were in love with Leonardo DiCaprio, who saw the movie 14 times just because of him! I'm not joking about that. I dated a girl a few years ago who saw it (in the theater) around 27 times! Also, there really shouldn't be anymore Terminator sequels. The concept has been run dry, the last two or three movies flopped, as did the TV series. Hollywood needs to come up with some new and original concepts.

reply

Yeah. Exactly this.

And all because Terminator 1 was amazing, it's not like we NEED more Terminator movies. lol

If Cameron came back, we'd probably get the Prometheus/Covenant version of Terminator, and it'll end up talking about how Skynet created John Connor or some shit. (Actually, that's...kind of an amusing concept...but you get what I mean.)

reply

No, don’t make a sequel

reply

James Cameron was a producer on Dark Fate, and it still turned out to be complete trash.

No, no more Terminator movies. What the hell is wrong with you, TheMan18??

reply

DARK FATE IS A SOLID FILM...NOT ON THE LEVEL OF 1 OR 2...BUT A SOLID,ENTERTAINING FLICK.

reply

SHIT IS SOLID, TOO!

reply

GOOD TO KNOW?🤔

reply

If you say it's good that John Connor was shot dead, I'll Ignore you right now.

reply

GOOD?...NO...I WAS FINE WITH IT THOUGH...FURLONG IS USELESS AND THEY HAVE RECAST 14 TIMES ALREADY.

reply

His name attached to the production means little. It needs quality writers and directors to make them really work and I don't believe these sequels have had that. Not that I want them to try, but if they stand a chance of coming close to the original 2, that's what's required. A Terminator sequel was never ever going to touch the quality of the Cameron Terminator films having McG as its director, for example.

reply

Yes, he is a quality director and original to the franchise. I would like to see him direct Terminator; Firm Nyte.... or Terminator; Streaks Of Sequence.

reply

Cameron could definitely churn out something better than Dark fate.If they ever did do a sequel they should do a direct sequel to one of the first 3 or 4 films because these last 2 movies, Aside from sucking, really screwed up the timeline with all their stupid time travel retconning.Killing off John Connor made the first 4 films completely irrelevant.

reply

Please make Shared Universe!

What if all James Cameron movies are in the same universe? Then we can have a movie title: Terminators vs. Aliens vs. Avatars on Titanic!

reply

And after the ship sank they keep fighting... in the abyss.
