Yeah this has come outta nowhere, everyone i know really enjoys it, and from what i saw everyone online was excited for season 4 after the season 3 cliffhanger ending, i really don't understand the reason for cancelling it. They didn't say anything about low views or anything, its like they just decided to cancel it for no reason.

I know they mentioned something about netflix not wanting comedy's to go past 3 seasons usually, cause One Day At A Time ended after 3 seasons and American Vandal was recently cancelled after 2 seasons i think. But i think this show warranted at least 1 more season to finish the story and give us a satisfying ending to the series.

The creator i think talked about the possibility of shopping the show around to other networks but he didn't know if it would be possible or not with it originating on netflix and that he'll find out soon. So it could get picked up by another streaming service or network on tv or something but its up in the air.

If not i don't see why they wouldn't let them do a 2 hour or so netflix movie to finish the series with, i mean i just hate cliffhanger endings with a show only for the show to get cancelled and we never get a conclusion. Thats what i hated about Deadwood but luckily we're getting a movie to finish the show up now coming up. Hopefully Santa Clarita gets something similar where it can finish its story.

Considering they canceled FREAKING DAREDEVIL, which was THE GREATEST SHOW EVER, I am sad to say nothing surprises me anymore.

reply

Yeah but at least people knew that was coming, cause Disney was taking all the marvel shows off there. This was just out of left field and for no apparent reason.

reply

yeah less NetFlix canceling it as opposed to the IP holder, Disney, not continuing it.

reply

Yeah, they should definitely do something to wrap it up. One more season, a feature film, or an extra episode or two.

Fvck netflix, they are really testing people. They could have just done a 90 minute finale, wouldn't be that hard or expensive.

Well, I wouldn't say they ended it with a cliffhanger - if anything, it looked like the producers knew the show had come to its end.

However, Anne's story line needed to be finished properly - her departure from the show wasn't handled well at all.

In fact, there were a lot of things this season that we were told, not shown (I got the sense the producers were trying to save every penny they could on filming). I can't say I enjoyed this season as much as I did season 2.

This show had a great cast but was poorly paced, like watching a fuse burn but there's no dynamite at the end.

Never heard of this thing.

Speaking of streaming, this very popular Netflix show named after a suburb could have gone on for years longer and kept a huge crew employed, but the former child actress turned addict turned A- list adult actress was bored with it and wanted to do something else. "Santa Clarita Diet"/Drew Barrymore (Here's the real reason why Netflix cancelled Santa Clarita Diet) (Drew Barrymore is getting her own daytime talk show)
