Show sucks now

No Riggs, No Lethal Weapon. Felt like I was watching a different show. Will not be watching any further and removed from DVR list.

Thanks for letting us know....I watched first episode and it was lame as hell....

It was actually good til this new season. Originally I watched for Diva Wayans but Crawford sold me on an updated Riggs. Then with all the drama that happened and Crawford being fired I knew this show would suck. Turned in tonight and was right.

Hard pass on this shitfest from now on

reply

It's hasn't really been that big a hit. Just mediocre reviews....I wasn't even aware it was still on. After this season it will be gone.

reply

It may have only done decent in the US but was doing huge in foreign markets. Either way I enjoyed it for it was and now that's over.

Will definitely be gone soon

It's a shame. For a network TV show, it had great production value, stunts, writing, etc. It was a pleasant surprise. And the best part of the show was definitely the chemistry the two leads had. I REALLY enjoyed season one, but I agree....no Riggs, no show. Damn shame.

I finally watched it tonight. I think they'll be just fine without Riggs. Sean William Scott did a good job.

I watched just to spite Clayne. It was cool, good to halfway pay attention to. I laughed hard at Murtaugh barely pretending to be concerned about Riggs at the hospital.

I tuned in, as i'm sure many old fans did, just to see how they handled Riggs. And they blew up his truck! Assholes.

Show felt very different. Does it still have the same showrunner? Anyhow, Stiffler was exactly what I expected. Dimestore Ryan Reynolds running around, doing his shtick, only this time with kung fu! Riggs's lines were always jarring one-liners, but Crawford managed them with effortless cool. Where as Scott delivers them as scene halting one liners like he's still making a screwball comedy.

The episode itself wasn't very good. Bad pacing issues. Felt like it was winding down to a conclusion every commercial break. And I know it's a tv show, but cramming these guys together as a new team wasn't exactly handled with much subtley. I'll tell you what I liked though. The lighting at Cole's place in the motel by the highway was just gorgeous.

Sean William Scott is...Sean William Scott. The guy just doesn't have any range. He seems like the same character as he is in every comedy hes been in. To where I don't even believe any of the lines he says where he is supposed to be sympathetic.

Clayne Crawford fans weren't happy with the way Lethal Weapon wrote his character out of the show

Martin Riggs' fate was addressed at the top of Tuesday's Season 3 premiere, prompting some Crawford fans to tweet that they will never watch the Fox drama again.

reply

I watched it for Riggs, I don't care for Wayans. He's not funny, his drawn out home drama was tedious. Though I did like the actress playing his wife.

reply

Funny you should say that, because my opinion of the show is the exact opposite in almost all of these points: I disliked both the character of Riggs and the actor who played him; it was always Wayans who kept me coming back. I agree about his home drama being tedious, but I disagree about the actress who plays the wife - I don't like her at all.

reply

So agree about the wife, she is such a wretched character.

reply

I liked the first two seasons and was ticked that the whiny bitch Wayans blew the show up with his ego trip. I cancelled my series record before the new season premiere aired. Sounds like I was right to do so.

reply

I just see it as just another generic cop/procedural show now. I mean how can you justify still calling the show "Lethal Weapon" without the actual "Lethal Weapon" (Martin Riggs) there. Clayne Crawford whether Damon Wayans wants to admit it or not, was the soul of the show. So much of the show centered around him and his story.

reply

I've never watched this show because imo it looked ridiculous, but wow, looks like everything is falling apart.

reply

It sucked since the second episode. I suffered through S1 because my wife is a fan of the movies. The show is dumbed down to the point of being insulting to the audience. I didn't mind the crazy stunts, that was the best part.
