But Wasn't Thanos Right?

Half of earth gone, the environment saved, the food surpluses able to feed everyone, nature healing, the economy booming.

Then suddenly, these idiots bring everyone back. More mouths to feed, more pollution, more space being occupied.

reply

Instead of eliminating half the population, couldn't he have just doubled the resources?

reply

Thanos said that the galaxy's resources are finite. I imagine he could use the Reality Stone to convert matter into resources, though.

reply

Bill Burr would agree with Thanos.

reply

Eliminating half the world doesn't make the world better. It doesn't go into choosing only the best to live. You will still have the same percentage as before of junk people who will sit around wanting others to help them.

reply

The government might change in supporting the population left. Like the security guard at the building the van was in. Is he really needed there instead of maybe working at raising food.

reply

Thanos is wrong, he should have read 'The Economist'. Some interesting facts on human nature have been found of late.

In the 1970's it was feared that the human population would exponentially expand until food and resources run out.

It has been recently found that this is not the case. Humans stop over reproducing when they reach a certain economic level. Rich world women do not want to have 5 children, even 2.1 (the replacement rate) is above average. The population is actually SHRINKING in some developed countries.

CRACKED ME UP...GREAT VISUAL.

reply

Put some reading glasses on him.

reply

IN MY HEAD ITS THANOS IN THE GUISE OF THE DAD FROM A CHRISTMAS STORY...

reply

Technically, yes, but he doesn't have the right to make that decision. If your point involves mass murdering civilians, you're doing it wrong.

reply

No, my point is... Once it's done, undoing it is EQUALLY unethical.

reply

Undoing mass murder is not unethical, LOL.

reply

When it detrimentally affects the entire planet. It is.

Also LOL.

reply

Only for the population to balloon out of control again over time, so his snap wasn't a solution. It was actually useless as it was just delaying the inevitable.

reply

He was "half right" and "half wrong"...LOL

He had good motives and good intentions, however, the solution was not the right one.

reply

It didn't go into choosing who really needed in being left. Like Hawkeye was out killing cartel and asian mobs before the return and Antman came back there was a security guard at the building for a place nobody lived around. The snap didn't change any percentage of nonuseful people.
