Just watched the first show and... [Spoilers Alert]

it was amazing as usual but few things i would like to point out here.

1) Deaths: Loki, Vision, Wanda, Nebula, Spider man, Bucky, Whole guardians, Strange.
P.s. Loki, vision and nebula's death is confirmed, the rest may come back as the ending didn't explain anything yet.

2) Thanos CGI was horrible, In many scenes i felt like it's a cartoon character. They could do better with him.

3) Iron man's suit is just simply terrible, felt like it's a suit made from foam or something but looked really bad. The old suit was so good though

4) Overall i enjoyed the movie but there are many unanswered things i would like to ask.

Let's talk about them if you have seen the film already.

reply

1) You missed a bunch of deaths, like Fury, Black Panther..

2) Thanos CGI was hit and miss for me. The fighting looked great, as did the extreme close-ups. The bits that sucked were when he was just walking around. There was one particular bit where he's walking up some stairs that looked really bad.

3) I thought Iron man's suit looked alright, not as bad as I expected anyway

Nebula doesn't die. Neither does Rocket. And there's the small matter of half of everyone else in the Universe. All will be explained in the upcoming movies.

reply

That's the worst part where you have to wait another year to know what happened to them.
Any possible theories?

reply

My thought? At the last minute, do in part to a "cunning plan" and Thanos having an ego almost as large as Starks, Thanos will be tricked into losing the gauntlet and being defeated. Cap, overcome by all the loss, puts on the gauntlet with the intent of restoring everything. But the stones are too much for him to handle and he is in great pain....until Tony takes his hand. Tony looks at Steve and says something about finally being ready to "lay down on a wire and let the other guy crawl over me" and Steve says they will both die. Tony says (on a spin of what Steve says often) "Then we'll do that together.". The universe is saved by their sacrifice and the stones are distributed with one going back to the Vision. The film ends with a statue of Captain America and Iron Man, uneasy allies who became uneasy enemies who became heroes.

reply

.....and it'll be called Avengers : Twilight

Personally I think Thanos will lose the gauntlet in a card game with Antman and Hawkeye.

reply

I think the title almost HAS to be Avengers: Assemble.

MAYBE Avengers Forever

reply

In what way would either of those be a spoiler, which is what the Russo brothers have said-- the title of Avengers 4 is itself a spoiler.

reply

Then I would HOPE it would be Avengers: The Fantastic.

And you know what 4 heroes show up to save the day.

reply

That would definitely spoil things! When it was announced that Marvel might buy Fox, my first "how to bring in the FF" idea was that the actions of Infinity War create a rift that merges the MCU universe with the one containing the FF and X-Men.

On the other hand, if Avengers 4 introduces the Fantastic Four, which is unlikely as the sale is still pending (I believe), they could come up with an alternate name that doesn't. I strongly suspect the title has to be an established Marvel storyline, a la Civil War or Homecoming. The best guesses I have, which are probably wrong are

Avengers: Secret War

Thanos' act of murdering half the life in the universe at once is certainly enough to capture the attention of the Beyonder. For all we know, he plucked Spider-Man, Black Panther, and the other heroes we thought we saw die, into his realm.

or

Avengers: Annihilation

Thanos and Drax play prominent roles, and it could easily be altered to fit the MCU.

reply

I'm hoping Thor uses his axe to cut off Thanos's left arm, and then uses the Infinity Gauntlet to set everything right. He may as well bring back Asgard while he's at it.

reply

Yep and give Jane boobs.

reply

The All-Father didn't have THAT much magic at his disposal.

reply

Thor preferz givin hulk bjs

reply

I think you mean Gamora, not Nebula. At the end, only Nebula and Stark survive on Titan. As far as "actual" deaths vs. "probably coming back" deaths, Loki, Valkyrie, Heimdall, Gamora, and Vision appear to be gone for good, though perhaps Vision can be restored as he's mechanical. The myriad other deaths are certainly temporary- Spider-man and Black Panther have sequels coming up, after all! :)

The CGI was the best I've seen yet. A few times Thanos looked off when he was walking around, but his face and his fighting, and everything else, looked as real as I've ever seen. Iron Man's suit, on the other hand, seemed a little too adaptable to be believable. It looked fine, but it seemed more magical than Dr. Strange at times.

As for the movie-- I've never seen a better comic book film. I went into detail in a post a moment ago, but to summarize, it works as self-contained film or as a part 1. If there were never another Avengers film, we'd need nothing more. Everything was answered/resolved/finished. The villain won, but-- that happens. Not in superhero films, but in life, and in other movies. This was a complete, near-perfect film.

His face was the most ugly CGI ive seen in years. All the users out there already make fun of it :) . Its like the Tron Legacy desaster.

And yes ... that movie is completely pointless.

do you often have opinions that are so different from The Majority?

1st, from what I've read, The Overwhelming majority seem to be Blown away by Thanos CGI in IW, Most calling it some of the best CGI work ever done(thats not a exaggeration)

2nd you either are intentionally Trolling(Most Likely) or just completely didnt understand the movie and ending...lol The Ending Is the one thing about this movie that is receiving 100% universal Praise...The Overall Movie, Is receiving Universal Praise too , but its between 85 to 90%, there is a minority who have some problems with the movie, almost NOne are calling it awful or bad, Most call it great, But there is a small minority who see it as average to slightly above average, You on the other hand seem to have opinions that almost no one else shares

I truly haven seen one person even remotely make The Tron comparison, that kind of gave you away that you were trolling.

Literally at best, The worst complaint ive read about Thanos is, "Its Great, the CGI is Great but there are times when its noticeabl"

basically your opinion about Thanos's CGI is so intentionally exaggerated you backed yourself into a corner where the only 2 options are, Your intentionally trolling, Or you have an opinion no one else shares...

Next your opinion on The ending, Is just as bad...again there are some(a minority) who have some problems with the movie, but its literally almost 100% or maybe 99% unanimous that everyone is praising the ending...almost no one feels its pointless.

You've trolled these boards before...its pretty clear your trolling now, Youve just gone overboard..I think probably whats happening is, Your a MCU hater/DCEU lover and your deeply angry at the success AIW is having and are now intentionally trolling to ease the pain, afterall, AIW is about to have a bigger Opening than Justice League had during its entire domestic run!

there are things to bitch at in this film...It does have problems...Importantly you just picked the 2 worst things to troll on...

The CGI work on Thanos and The Ending is so universally praised, You literally have to be Trolling to hate on them specifically to level your suggesting...

Completely Pointless and Tron comparisons is just so overboard, there no taking you seriously after saying that...

any ways, I look forward to more butthurt trolling from you....I think its only going to get worse, Deadline is reporting a 245 M+ OW, Its now a pick em that AIW could break The Opening Weekend record...

I'm sure if that happens your going to be overcome with Deep anger and Jealousy and Will have to immediately start coming up with new absurd trolling to ease the pain

PS...a better comparison probably would have been to use "its like The Justice League, Steppenwolf Disaster"

I get where you were going with Tron, It is a bad CGI character, But given that it was 2010...Its somewhat forgivable...

but given that Justice League was 2017 and Steppenwolf was every bit as AWFUL as Tron.....Steppenwolf is a much better example to probably describe ALL TIME awful CGI work!

reply

The only hassle I had with it was its involving so many Marvel characters involved in so many sub-plots. That being said I still like it. It was exciting, serious while maintaining a sense of humor, and had Stan Lee in a quickie cameo.

reply

Stan Lee had a cameo??? Well, THAT'S new and exciting!

2) Thanos CGI was horrible, In many scenes i felt like it's a cartoon character. They could do better with him.

^^^

strongly disagree, From what I've read, The Majority is blown away by the CGI work done on Thanos...

I saw it in Imax...90% of the time Thanos is on screen his CGI is so Great you cant even notice it...

but everyone has different opinions, I respect yours, just cant NOT DISAGREE more!

reply

I haven't been all that impressed with CGI in movies lately and it may be because I had such a unique movie experience with the original Jurassic Park, it was the first big block buster film that I saw with my whole family and I know that just about everyone who first saw Jurassic Park was blown away by the incredible CGI affects especially considering the this movie was made in 1993 and that kind of CGI was ground braking at that time and still is by todays standers and I don't think any movie will ever come close to recreating the CGI experience of Jurassic Park...if anything CGI is getting is more cheesy these days I guess production companies just aren't to stretch their budget on quality CGI any more.

reply

Jurassic park was not cgi but mostly practical effects thats why it looked so good. most movies nowadays hardly use practical effects
