Worst CGI of any Marvel film?

Reminded me of first Hulk, BAD

reply

Aside from the vibranium mine fight between T'Challa and Killmonger, and maybe Black Panther flipping over a car during the South Korea chase, I thought the CGI was mostly pretty good. Wakanda looked realistic enough.

reply

well i thought all the stuff at Waterfall looked fake , or like a set , not real , Marvel has infinite money

reply

It was an actual set complete with real water. Here's some behind the scenes footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_XtTHNjSYc&t=10m5s

reply

i know half was real but the background was so fake, they still can't do good cgi in daylight :(

reply

That's the problem, it looked like a set.

reply

Maybe THAT was the problem! :-) It needed CGI.

reply

I thought it looked pretty good for the most part.

I'm not a fan of how they use CGI for nearly everything these days even when practical might be better, but you can do things with CGI that you just can't otherwise.

reply

Can't agree more. Mad Max: Fury Road is a great example of exactly that.

reply

Only the ending fight which they rushed because of the deadline. The rest of it I thought was pretty darn good.

reply

Probably. The climatic fight at the end looks like it was made 20 years ago. For some reason this film got a pass on it's poor CGI. In comparison, JL came out briefly before this and droves of people bashed that film for it's CGI.

reply

You know, I didn't even realize the bad CGI till they were covering T'Challa with snow to revive him or whatever the hell that was. That snow looks SO SO SO bad. Never seen anything like that in a big budget movie.

reply

It's one of a small handful of MCU movies I haven't seen and I haven't seen because of the effects. Bad effects - particularly CGI - just take me right out of the movie.

reply

It had some weak spots for sure.

reply

never seen it
