people exploding with ecstasy after seeing trailer in theater

3 billion here we come

I saw the trailer and it’s going to make so much money.

People are just in awe of the visual effects and the beauty of that world that it’ll be worth the price of the cinema ticket just based on that for a lot of people.

Plus so much time has passed from the first film it’ll almost have a nostalgia boost like Jurassic World had. Member Avatar? It’s back!

A lot of haters are gonna want a good dose of nostalgia to better days. I think it's gonna be a mega hit. Look how good Spider-Man just did with the nostalgia racket. Same thing gonna happen here. For whatever reason, nostalgia is in right now. All the old stuff coming back.

Yep, plus a December release like Spider-Man: No Way Home and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Not going to be much competition for it.

I predict it’ll at least do as well as Spider-Man worldwide, maybe more if it gets a release in China.

Amy Schumer sure isn't in this.

I hope it can overcome that shortcoming.

It is unlikely again not to have that many liberal females going to see it without having any chunky people in the movie.

I think it's an overstatement. It won't be as popular as the first one I think. It may come close but with the pandemic and rising inflation, I don't think it'll gain as much moolah as the first. People have already gotten used to or become desensitized by the amout of CGI already shown in movies.

reply

inflation is why it would top the first, 30% higher ticket prices

It'll easily make the same money as the first, if only because money is worth half as much now...!

I love your sarcasm, very well done.

it looks good

With inflated ticket prices for sure. But in total numbers of tickets sold, I'm not so sure, what with huge gas and grocery prices and the streaming competition.
