Why would a Doll be affected by what its owners feels. A owner they can't even see. And when she goes to the real world. Somehow the FBI and Mattel know that Barbie has entered the real world. Why because she said her name was Barbie. You know there real people who name is Barbie. Even if she said she was the Barbie Doll. Why would they believe her, instead of assuming she crazy. I also notice that the Horrible "Real" World L.A.. Dosn't have any Homeless encampments.

So Ken just tells the Barbies that Men are Awesome and they just go along with it for No Reason. No fuss at all. This is suppose to show how bad the Kens are. But not how F**ing brain dead the Barbies are. Then Lantio lady tells the Barbies how awesome they are. Than somehow there unbrainwash. Even tho all he did was tell them how awesome men are and they believed it. Then Kens fight each other because the Barbies manipulate then in the most obviously way possible. Manipulating Men, a well known positive treat of women. As that going on. Barbie get power back and everything right in Barbie land or whatever. Then Baribie goes to get her new vagina checked out in the Oppressive New World she decided to live in.

I think this might be the worst movie i have seen in 2023. I can't believe people expect me to root for Barbie, this sapid 1 Dimensional Character. I feel like it was written by a bitter 9 year old girl. Who is mad that there wasn't enough female G.I. Joes. I think if you think this is on the same Level as Citizen Kane, 12 Angry Men, Shawshank Redemption, Schindler's List, even the Dark Knight. You are high on Crack Cocaine. Probably Pink Crack Cocaine. And im willing to bet that Oppenheimer is 1000 times better. Because Nolan is a Director who likes to tell interesting story instead of just preachy at his audience. Maybe Greta could try that next time. I don't care how much this movie makes. Its Crap.

Is the plot any dumber than a Transformers movie?

I mean, that's the equivalent film franchise, a movie about toys made for boys and former boys, with a plot so stupid its based around the idea that loving cars and plastic toys will get a guy a hot babe.

I loved The Lego Movie, but Barbie is nowhere near as good as The Lego Movie. It has a lot of flaws in the storytelling and in spite of what some well meaning people want to say, it is preachy, heavy handed and lacks subtlety.

I love you too, Kowalski. I assure you it is not an identity crisis and I was not drunk. I wanted to love the movie, but I can't pretend that there isn't a message in the film that I find objectionable and potentially dangerous. Is it really a good idea to have a teen girl say that men hate women in a movie that a lot of young girls will see? Does this send the right message? The film lectures the audience and breaks one of the basic rules of film making: show, don't tell.

THAT WASN'T THE MOVIE'S MESSAGE AT ALL...AND QUITE FRANKLY...SO WHAT EVEN IF IT WAS?...HOW MANY MOVIES HAVE I WATCHED WHERE THE PERSPECTIVE IS MALE AND FEMALES ARE VIEWED AND SPOKEN OF AS SEX OBJECTS WHOSE PERSONALITIES ARE NOTHING MORE THAN AN OBSTACLE TO BE CONQUESTED...LIKE A SAFARI ONLY YOU USE YOUR DICK.

THE MESSAGE I GOT FROM THE MOVIE IS THAT NEITHER SEX ARE SUPERIOR AND BOTH NEED TO ADJUST HOW THEY SEE AND DEAL WITH THE OTHER...NEITHER BARBIE WORLD NOR KEN WORLD WAS RIGHT...NEITHER ARE AN ACCESSORY TO THE OTHER...EQUALS...BUT EARNED EQUALS.

Your interpretation is very different from mine and I feel like you might be reading into the film and seeing something that isn’t there. And I don’t think that just because there have been bad portrayals of women in the past and sexist stereotypes in films that it is okay for films to have sexist or harmful messages. I just can’t get behind that.

I’m still the same Allaby. There were things I liked about Barbie, but I genuinely feel there is an anti male message that I don’t agree with. Cuties is actually a better, more nuanced exploration of girlhood than Barbie.

Sweetie, a lot of men DO hate women! And a lot of women hate men.

That's the weird thing about heterosexuality. A lot of people dislike the opposite sex, but are drawn to them because they were born heterosexual, and people can't change their sexual orientation when it stops working out for them. So there are a lot of people really do hate the opposite sex but keep trying to have relationships with them anyway, and frankly it's only fair to give the young fair warning that these people exist. I don't hate this movie anymore than i hate Transformers. Not everybody is going praise mediocrity because of stupid politics. If you took Michael Bay's 2007 Transformers. You gave all the Autobots lipstick and had them say the word patriarchy a couple of times. It would go from 56% on Rotten Tomatoes to 95% and all of you would love it.

I doubt anyone does. For one thing, most of the people who are going out to watch Barbie probably haven't seen Citizen Kane. And those among the audience who have probably aren't silly enough to compare two very, very different films made over 80 years apart from each other.

The same is true of the other films you mention. Very few people walked away from, say, Top Gun Maverick and said to themselves 'Yeah, but it was no Schindler's List.' Because, you see, most people aren't cretinous.
