Come on.....6.4??...........what was wrong with this movie??

I tell you...Adrien Brody- He was exceptional.

I have rarely seen such a performance. I'm aware that he has only done works like "The Pianist" are drama movies, almost never action movies. But he was just soo good that I forgot he was Adrien Brody.

And his nose being a little out of place...it just made me wonder in how many battles this guy had been...

The part was so well written as well, I rooted for this guy till the very end even though he did have much "evil" inside him.

Every time he had a line of dialogue I liked the movie more and more. I grew up with the original one and the Danny Glover sequel (which was even better!) and I thought it would be impossible to make a better movie. But this movie amazes me!

It's just excruciating how little people appreciate it. Movies like Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy are appreciated but a good sci-fi like this one isn't.

Incredible dumbed down audiences!

My ratings are not always like the IMDB average score because I only enjoy intelligent movies.

Yes loved the film! Loved brodys performance and just the film as a whole! Great score and awesome shots! Feel so lucky to he spoiled with films like this... and more coming! Thanks and God Bless

Everything.
A trainwreck with a bag CGI explosion at the end.

I liked this movie too, not a classic by any stretch but it was fun and expanded the predator universe which is the tits for me.

The prison stabby guy was my favorite and the nerd doctor slasher too, the rest I would agree seemed to be too predictable. And Laurence caused some shit to happen and then he died which was a waste as well.
But, besides that I liked it and would recommend it to anyone.

I think this film was judged quiet harshly by critics for inexplicable reasons.

It's easily the second most entertaining "Predator" film and an effective soft-reboot of the franchise.

reply

The movie starts out really damn good but becomes pretty lame once Fishburn shows up. I still recommend it.

reply

I agree with this

reply

Yeah. I rewatched this the other day and it's a helluva lot better than I remember. But the movie absolutely derails once we get to the Fishburne scene. It's also embarrassingly try-hard with some of the dialog (were those really the best takes from Goggins? I mean the lines were hilarious but delivered so poorly), and the Topher character is cheeseball. Everything Brody was doing was just top shelf awesome. Good creature action and effects. It's a direct to video script that they pumped a crazy bunch of money into for some reason. Compared to the 2018 film, this is a masterpiece.

The movie was pretty good for Predator lore. The introduction of two separate Yautja races, as well as the Hellhounds, and their game preserve. However, the film was still a shoddy B-movie.

reply

exactly. and with all its flaws.. miles and miles superior to the 2018 "film"

i think for a trilogy- this was OK to wrap up the individual franchise.

reply

Agreed. I couldn't finish the latest Predator movie. This one was alright, but it was kinda weird with Fishburne's character and the infighting between the Predators kinda weakened this movie. It's still enjoyable though.

It’s an underrated flick. Arguably just as good, maybe even better than, the original with Arnold

reply

"Arguably just as good, maybe even better than, the original with Arnold"

Ha, that's hilarious. It's not even close to the original.

reply

I'd actually rank this fourth after the first two and the first AVP.

reply

That seems about right

This one was pretty good, just not as good as the others

reply

I liked this film myself. Though I will say the first 2 Predator movies were better. This is certainly better than the silly recent one.
