Please help me - without spoilers. I've watched 2 episodes...should I continue?

Does it just end with no explanation - with many loose ends, leaving the watcher to 'make their own ending'?
I hate that. it's starting to feel that way.
If so - I will stop now.

You'll have to tell me because I'm done after 2 ep. There's too much good TV out there to waste on such painfully slow development.

reply

No. I watched it and nothing interesting happens at all. Its boring and they had material for 2 episodes maximum. So its like 1.5 movie that is stretched for 6 hours.

reply

Thanks for the warning. I had a feeling it would go this way.

reply

It does reveal the main plot but still leaves some things murky. It's worth it. Why don't you see for yourself instead of relying on people who might be just trolls. It's just a few episodes.

reply

Keep watching, it's not as slow paced as LOST, and at least there aren't as many flashbacks.

reply

Lost slow paced?! You are confusing mystery with pace

I like open ended things. Why does everything need to be explained? Can't people come up with their own conclusions? To me that is lazy viewing.

reply

It doesn't end "open-ended" so much as "begging for a season 2 that Amazon has promised won't happen."

For "open ended" I'd point to "Cast Away," "Inception" or Frank R. Stockton's classic short story, "The Lady, or the Tiger?"

This series took a lot of time to set up critical plot threads that it not only failed to resolve, but ended right at the point of huge next steps, as yet untaken.

That's not an open-ended ending. That's a cliffhanger. And it'll never be resolved.

I would recommend against this one for that reason alone

reply

Yes, that makes sense. I haven't watched and most likely won't now.
