How is the term "Karen" accaptable?

By today's standard, this term should be considered both racist and sexist, as it targets both skin color and gender. Not to mention an insult to all women named Karen who don't fall into this category. If we started using "Tyrone" as a term for a specific type of black man, surely we'd be canceled.

Or maybe Lebron.

Could be a about a black man who moves into a neighborhood where everyone is self centered and faking injuries to get themselves to the free throw lines.

reply

LOL at "accaptable".

Fuck.

It's ok to he prejudiced when it's against water pipo.

Boo hoo.

The Left hijacked the Karen meme. I don't recall it being about race two years ago.

Karen is a pejorative term used in the United States and other English-speaking countries for a woman perceived as entitled or demanding beyond the scope of what is appropriate or necessary. A common stereotype is that of a white woman who uses her privilege to demand her own way at the expense of others.

So if a white woman demand her own way at the expense of others, she's likely to be showed and humiliated in the news. If a white woman demand her own way at the expense of others, she's likely to get it, since people are too afraid of being labeled as racist.

Yeah, that sounds like the white one has an amazing privilege.

reply

It wasn't about race until some people started claiming it was racist against white women because the majority of memes and videos associated with "Karen" featured white women. Naturally, since the majority of women in the countries where Karen is a thing are white.

Lighten up, Francis.

Remember when English soldiers were continually racially abused by being referred to as "Tommies". Even by other Englishmen.

And how just calling white US servicemen "Joe" became such a popular shorthand in the US that the toy company later chose the name "GI Joe" instead of picking GI Trevor, GI Hortense or GI Giuseppe. I don't know how they tolerated it.

Racist. No respect for the military either.

LMAO

You win the thread

Absolutely not acceptable. If we started using the term Shaniqua for angry black women who call 911 because they didn't get any ketchup with their fries, woke trolls like the one above would suddenly start to cry racism.
